Part-Time Learning Commons Writing Tutor

Franklin University seeks energetic, dependable, flexible, self-motivated candidates for the position of Writing Tutor.

Requirements: Ideal candidate will have MA or Ph. D coursework or degree in the following areas: composition, rhetoric, literature, or English education. Experience working with ESL students and/or developmental or first-year writing courses is preferred. Discipline-specific teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.

Flexibility to tutor online in both synchronous and asynchronous environments is desired. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in the intended subject area.

Hours: Hours will vary depending on tutoring volume. Evening and weekend availability is preferred.
