What You'll Be Doing:

Reporting to the Chief Technology and Product Officer the Quality and Release Director is responsible for the delivery of repeatable, predictable and high quality mobile and platform releases. Managing a team of manual and automation test engineers and release managers the Quality and Release Director is responsible for ongoing improvements to the people, process and technology that ensure Salesfloor's customers regularly receive new features and bug fixes, maintaining a high standard for overall quality and timeliness. Directors at Salesfloor are given an unusually wide latitude to define and deliver success on their own terms, so this role is well suited to entrepreneurial minded leaders who thrive in a low oversight, high responsibility environment where they are trusted to build and coach their teams, and innovate to deliver value to our customers..

Responsibilities include

  • Leading a team of manual and automated test, and release engineers, setting clear goals, assessing and improving team culture, strategy, and tactics creating a flywheel for performance 
  • Coordinating multiple platform and mobile releases a week across our various product development and professional services teams
  • Ensuring manual and automated regression testing is performed and working with product management to ensure issues are triaged and distributed to the right teams to resolve and following through to ensure overall quality of releases
  • Continuously improving our automation and manual test suites to balance feature coverage, speed of execution, and other considerations such as load, security, etc
  • Working with our platform team to innovate our build and release process to make it easier for internal teams to ship value to customers more quickly and efficiently

What We're Looking For:

  • Skilled and tenured quality and release manager with a history of shipping high quality releases on a regular basis. Is analytics and data driven and knows how to reduce bugs and shorten release cycles 
  • Prior hands-on experience as a developer, release or quality engineer who knows how the job is done and can coach and mentor their team 
  • Comfortable autonomously improving their area with minimal supervision. You have a vision for quality and release and are just looking for a place to implement it!
