Goody is hiring a Product Designer with an excellent visual eye and is motivated by building delightful products.
Remote (US & Canada only)
Salary range: $120K – $160K + stock
Goody is a gifting platform that makes personal and professional gifting easy — you don’t need an address, and you don’t need to worry if your recipient prefers something else, since they can swap their gift. We also offer an API to plug in gifting and commerce to any app.
We help people celebrate milestones, recognize achievements, close deals, and make clients feel valued through thoughtful gifts that make people’s days. Founded 5 years ago, our product is used by Google, Stripe, Meta, Anthropic, Notion, NBCUniversal, DHL, and others.
Despite being something everyone does, gifting is one of the areas of commerce yet to be disrupted, and our mission is to capture that market opportunity and spread joy and positivity.
And with Goody being co-founded by a designer, we view design as absolutely central to our mission.
For designers who love to craft experiences: You’ll be working on a product where the goal is delight.
Gifting is meant to be experiential. We have a lot of fun crafting the experience to be fun, and we consider how each screen impacts the emotional experience, such as our gift unwrap experience which has a neat (and customizable) animation designed to immerse the recipient.
We worked with XYZ Type to tailor our own typeface (this one!) when we couldn’t find one off the shelf that conveyed our vibe.
And we have big ambitions for how to make the experience even better and more fun (for which we could use your ideas and taste!)
For designers who love ownership and impact: You’ll have deep ownership over projects that impact the success of our company.
You’d work directly with me (Mark), the co-founder, CTO, and Head of Product, to build our key projects, and we’ll bounce ideas between and challenge each other, which will ultimately lead to the best work.
And as you might expect in a tight-knit startup, you’ll be responsible for full features and will heavily impact our users’ experience of our product, and ultimately the success of the company.
For designers with business sense: You’ll have an opportunity to design the product that wins this market.
Gifting is one of the areas of commerce yet to be revolutionized. We are in an excellent position to win this market, in part because Goody is the design leader in the gifting space, offering the best UI/UX for business gifting.
History has shown that companies with the best design and taste tend to win, if coupled with good execution.
If you related with all three of these, that’s a good sign. We are looking for a designer with the combination of deep sense of craft and obsessiveness over quality, who thrive with ownership and responsibility, and who have excellent business sense.
What you’ll do
Design user interfaces and experiences for Goody’s responsive web application, including the sender experience (ecommerce and SaaS) and recipient gift experience
Since product and design are inextricably interlinked, collaborate with product to evolve product direction based on findings in the design process
Understand user needs through feedback, testing, research, and gathering information from users and stakeholders
Evolve Goody’s design language to changing needs and new feature development
Explore ways to integrate AI/ML in non-BS, actually useful ways
Who you are
3+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing fresh, creative work for web and mobile
Top 5% visual talent, with both a good eye and the skills to execute
Experienced in the main gameplay loop of design, namely exploring the option space and iterating until something hits. You should be used to doing that and creating new avenues to explore and iterate, to ultimately arrive at the most harmonious design
Growth mindset and an ability to take constructive feedback and thrive in a no-ego culture
Familiarity with ecommerce is a plus
What we offer
Fully remote company with opportunities to meet in person, such as regional meetups and our annual company offsite. This position is open to iniduals in the US or Canada.
Base salary range of $120K–160K USD plus stock options
We offer benefits and perks to our employees including but not limited to: comprehensive medical plans, including vision and dental, flexible PTO, paid family leave, education and wellness stipends, and (of course!) lots of gifts.

Translate business objectives into creative digital experiences that engage and convert visitors.

This ensures you stay connected with our team and contribute to a smooth workflow.
To help you thrive, we’ll equip you with top-tier tools and a setup tailored to your needs, ensuring you have everything required to excel in your role and make a meaningful impact.

We’re looking for a quick and scrappy designer/hacker.
We are not looking for someone to agonize over wireframes and personas for weeks on end. Design at Unriddle is lightning fast. We typically take large features from idea to high-fidelity design in days, not weeks or months.
What you’ll be doing:
* Talk to users, translate these conversations into features, improvements and fixes, repeat.
* Lead end-to-end product design projects and work closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation.* Optimize existing flows to move metrics in the direction we want them to move, e.g. tweaking onboarding flows to increase conversion, or redesigning cancel flows to reduce churn. You’re likely a good fit if you:
* Live and breath pixels with excellent taste for well-crafted interaction design and UI details.
* Are excited by the idea of quantifiably measuring the impact of your design work - e.g. how new features affected user retention.* Have worked in a high-growth, fast-paced environment (ideally another startup) and can drive things forward with relatively little oversight. We’re based in San Francisco but have members of the team in Europe too. We offer premium healthcare (medical, dental, etc.), flexible working hours and office space with a beautiful view of the SF marina and Golden Gate bridge.

We're an early-stage startup picking up speed fast. This is your opportunity to get in on the ground floor with the world's next big tech.

Bía Master of Gratitude
We believe in acknowledging the gifts in others and ourselves, and using it as a guiding light forward instead of pointing fingers, assigning blame, or obsessing over mistakes. We believe our time is best spent focusing on the path forward that leads to the greatest good. That starts with acknowledging one another regularly for the great things we have noticed them accomplish. We are humble optimists.
Bía Curator of Knowledge
We are lifelong learners. We believe that each piece of knowledge operates as a door to new opportunities. It is easier to stick to what information we have and defend our egos than it is to stay open-minded to new information and be comfortable with being wrong. We want our team to feel curious more than we want them to feel right. Mistakes are catalysts to growth and so we encourage taking calculated risks so long as they come with learning. If they happen to come with some wins as well, that’s a win-win.
What It's Like Working Here
We are a purpose-driven team, passionate about improving the quality of life for every single person on the planet.
During your remote, 4-day workweek, we will give you everything you need to be 100% successful. You will never contribute more to a mission than here. To finish the week, you get a full extra day off to recoup, relax, and live life your way.
We also regularly meet up throughout the year for all-expenses paid, global team-building get-togethers. You will travel the globe on our dime.
Everyone on the team is proactive and hungry to build something meaningful. We hire people that need to be slowed down and encouraged to take vacation, rather than people who always need encouragement to speed up.
We manage by giving you deeply specific objectives, 100% clarity on your role, weekly recognition, and altruistic punishment. Rewarding great work means punishing mediocre work. If you aren't passionate about your work, we're not the right fit.
However, if you are tired of carrying more than your share, tired of your work going unrecognized, and instead dream of working at a fast-paced, high-impact work environment, then working at Bía will be refreshing.

There is 1 product manager (with plans to grow).* No engineers have left the company in 3 years. Our principal engineer has been with the company 12 years. * We use a Kanban workflow in Jira (“kanban-like” if we’re being pedantic) with clear acceptance criteria and Gherkin for testing criteria.* In 2024, half our tickets were in support of our strategic roadmap, 20% were maintenance work, and the rest were requests (support escalations and other non-roadmap work).* We primarily build in a WordPress-based monolith with a few ancillary AWS services.* We have managed hosting, so there is no on-call rotation, but as a staff engineer you will be on the short-list of emergency technical contacts. (We had zero emergencies in 2024.)* Two years ago, we had zero automated tests. Today, we have more than 500 (300 of which are E2E) and will aggressively increase that number this year, focusing on PHP integration tests in a specific section of the product.* We’re publishing our interview plan, onboarding impact plan, and performance review criteria for this role. Our small team works best by being engaged, taking ownership, and exercising critical thinking every day. This role is critical to continuing and expanding that strategy, so consider coming to your interviews with good questions.* West coasters beware: Standup is 10:30am ET (Mon-Thu; we don’t have standing meetings on Fridays). It is our team’s only standing meeting (besides 1:1s with your manager and monthly All Hands). What will your 90-day onboard look like?* Weeks 1: Meet people, read docs, complete training, set up your localhost, ask questions. We’re not a “commit code on day 1” shop; relax & adapt. Check in with your manager daily.* Weeks 2-4: Dig into team’s current problem set and how you can start contributing now, while also learning medium- and long-term goals to start aligning decisions with them. Join the team’s workflow and complete prioritized work. Check in with your manager a few times a week.* Months 2-3: Take work that aligns with your learning goals to quickly expand your exposure to various parts of the product and stack. Make strong contributions, but more biased toward learning than highest priority, tapering back toward priority-based work toward the end of 90-days at the pace that makes sense. Choose a longer-term 1:1 pace.$160,000 - $160,000 a year#Salary and compensation
