About NumeralHQ
Numeral is building the automation backbone for internet commerce — starting with the painful world of sales tax compliance. We handle everything from registration to remittance, delivering a white-glove service so e-commerce businesses can stay laser-focused on what they do best: growing their products, customers, and teams.
We’re one of the fastest-growing companies from Y Combinator’s W23 batch, backed by top-tier investors including Benchmark Capital. Our team has deep roots from the early days at Stripe, Airbnb, Notion, and other breakout companies — and now we’re bringing that same level of craft, speed, and ambition to a space that’s long overdue for reinvention.
Numeral is small but mighty. Growth is already borderline unmanageable — which means every hire we make now will directly shape the trajectory of the company. If you’re excited about joining as an early team member and want the kind of ownership that defines careers, we want to meet you.
Mission
Running an online business today means wearing a thousand hats — most of them not the reason founders started their company. Our mission is to eliminate the administrative and accounting burdens that distract businesses from doing what they love.
We’ve already helped hundreds of merchants avoid the headache of building giant finance teams just to manage tax compliance. Tomorrow, we’re scaling that impact even further: building the automation layer that lets internet businesses stay nimble, compliant, and future-proof.
About the role:
*
As our Founding Recruiter, you’ll help in laying the foundation for recruiting at Numeral. You’ll perform full-cycle recruiting from coordination, sourcing, and hiring across engineering, product, go-to-market, and operations teams — while building the recruiting infrastructure that will lay the groundwork to scale us from 50 to 150 employees and beyond in the next few years.\*
You will take a consultative mindset and partner with our Executive Team to attract and identify top talent to bring into the organization. You are focused on quality over quantity as you understand the value of time in a fast-paced, early stage startup environment. You will also be responsible for developing and executing on recruiting strategies to ensure we hire to headcount plans in a timely manner.\*
You’ll work closely with the Head of Talent to shape how recruiting operates, owns, and delivers at Numeral including but is not limited to employer branding, improvements, systems, candidate experience, interviewing training, etc.\Responsibilities:
*
Own end-to-end hiring across all functions: Engineering, Product, Sales, Ops, and more.\*
Partner with execs and hiring managers to run role kickoffs, define bar-raising processes, and close top-tier candidates.\*
Launch and scale recruiting operations: ATS (Ashby), scheduling, dashboards, interviewer calibration, agency coordination.\*
Manage top-of-funnel sourcing efforts and candidate outreach strategy.\*
Create best-in-class candidate experience: clear communication, tight feedback loops, and thoughtful touch points.\*
Track key funnel metrics and recruiting KPIs; build reports to inform hiring decisions.\*
Help define and scale employer branding, referral campaigns, and internal recruiting enablement.\Qualifications:
*
8+ years of recruiting experience, ideally with 3+ in early-stage startup environments.\*
Proven ability to manage multiple reqs across technical and non-technical functions.\*
Proficient at sourcing top tier candidates using creative sourcing techniques\*
Experience building and scaling recruiting processes, systems, and interview loops from scratch.\*
Comfort working directly with C-level execs and being the point person for hiring strategy.\*
Excellent communicator, writer, and operator — clear, concise, and action-oriented.\Bonus Points For:
*
Experience with Ashby, Rippling, Pave, or similar modern HR tech stack.\*
Passion for building team culture, DEI initiatives, and employer brand from 0→1.\Why Join Us?
*
Be a core builder in an ambitious, globally minded startup.\*
Learn hands-on how to scale international compliance systems.\*
Work across functions and with leadership early in your career.\*
Make a visible impact immediately through enablement and operational design.\*
Enjoy a flexible, remote-first culture with strong mentorship and ownership opportunities.\",

About This Role
We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to power modern travel search, booking, and management experiences across airfare, accommodation, and related services. You will design and implement backend services that integrate with GDS, NDC, and other travel APIs, aggregating fares, schedules, and inventory from multiple providers into a unified platform. Our systems deliver fast, reliable search and booking capabilities, giving travelers and partners a streamlined, efficient experience. You will work with Go/Golang, distributed systems, and large-scale integrations to build robust and scalable services. You will apply strong engineering practices to ensure systems are secure, high-performance, and resilient. As we expand coverage and add partners, you will adapt quickly, iterate on features, and focus on delivering measurable impact for our customers in the travel and transport industries.
Who We Are
We are a YC-backed startup with $8M+ raised, led by repeat founders who’ve built and scaled successful companies before. Our mission is ambitious: we’re building deeply integrated AI systems that understand, reason, and act to solve real-world problems in travel and transport. We’re not another “move fast and burn out” shop. We believe peak productivity comes when humans have psychological safety, time to sleep, move, eat well, and be understood. That’s the culture we’re building. We don’t believe in overwork or equating hours with outcomes. What matters is results tied to business and customer outcomes—nothing else.
Though this role is remote, we prefer someone to be in Boulder, CO and come to the office 2-3 days.
What You’ll Do
• Build the core systems that power travel search, booking, and management.
• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services in Go/Golang with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Integrate with GDS, NDC, and other third-party travel APIs, handling search, booking, and post-booking workflows for flights, hotels, and related services.
• Apply strong engineering principles (modularity, testing, error handling, monitoring) to ensure resilience against external API dependencies.
• Collaborate closely with product and leadership to ensure backend capabilities align directly with customer and business needs.
• Document key decisions and integration approaches, ensuring clarity for current and future teammates.
• Take full ownership of outcomes in a startup environment: small team collaboration, rapid iteration, and shipping usable systems.
• Work in a lightweight agile framework shaped by your input (no dogma, no purist process), with daily stand-ups and project coordination between you, the COO, and two other engineers (frontend and backend).
• Take strategic and product guidance from a cofounder who will be in-office.
• The COO supports your growth and ensures you have what you need to succeed, while the cofounders focus on product excellence.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong, validated expertise in software engineering with expertise in shipping production systems from beginning to end.
• Deep expertise in Go/Golang with a demonstrated 3 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and microservices.
• Experience working with databases, especially MySQL.
• Proven ability to pick up new technologies quickly and apply them pragmatically.
• Ability to turn messy, ambiguous problems into solvable projects, with clear scoping, regular updates, and visible progress for stakeholders
• Excellent communication: clearly defines projects, can explain assumptions, trade-offs, and progress clearly.
Bonus Points
• Prior experience with travel and/or GDS/NDC.
• Familiarity with Vercel, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Experience in high-growth startups. • Previous founders or founding engineers We don’t believe in overwork or equating hours with outcomes. What matters is results tied to business and customer outcomes—nothing else.
Compensation and Growth
$150,000 + Equity (.1%-.75%) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance + Dependents
Four Weeks Paid Time Off (We try to encourage you to take time off)
Opportunity to grow in high-level IC or Leadership position as you prefer (no pay discrimination between the two)

We’re hiring full-time, in-person people who want a serious career in sales — not a “remote SDR role” with unlimited flexibility. You need to be a fast learner, resilient under pressure, and obsessed with growth. Our best reps show up early, ask for feedback, and figure things out quickly. We want top performers who want to be surrounded and learn what it takes to be the best in a competitive marketplace. If that sounds like you then this is a no brainer. If work is intimidating to you then this isn't the place for you but if you value getting better then this is where you should be.
This job is intense but also rewarding. We expect 70-100 client contacts a day, follow-up without ego, and the kind of energy that moves the leaderboard. If you want soft onboarding and a 3-month ramp, this isn’t it.
You should be coachable, eager to learn and perform at your most optimal level, and ready and willing be part of a mission. Not just work a job.
If you consistently crush you numbers you can be promoted to Partnership Executive (AEs) within 3 months.
Expectations
*
Monday-Friday, 8AM-6PM (in person)\*
Saturday: 11AM-3PM required for new hires’ first 4 weeks and Partnership Executives (AEs)\*

This is a rare chance to get in early, learn real sales at a high level, and be surrounded by people who are all in. You’ll leave this role sharper, tougher, and 10x more valuable. No matter what you do next.

* You’re excited by working in the intersection of healthcare, data, and AI.* You have a strong sense of ownership over your work, and have demonstrated ability to lead others.* You’re entrepreneurial minded, and you don’t need a defined playbook to be successful in your role - you’re able to create and own your own systems.* When someone scopes out an assignment with a target ETA of 3 weeks, you ask yourself \"why can't it be done in 3 days?\".* You feel that you have a good “taste” for startup talent, developed through your prior recruiting experience.* Bonus: you have an engineering background that allows you to vet technical talent thoroughly. What you'll be doing
From day 1, you’ll be ramped up quickly to expert-level domain knowledge in the healthcare data IT space to help you understand the context of what we’re working towards, all of the projects that our team is currently working on, and what we’ll be working on in the future.

about us
At telli we are building AI voice agents that are reshaping an entire industry.
Since launching 8-months ago, we raised a $3.6M pre-seed round from Cherry and Y Combinator and grew to >$1M in ARR. We are looking for a team members who want to go all-in to help us achieve the next milestone: $10M in ARR.
Two of our co-founders Finn and Philipp previously scaled the heat pump unit of energy unicorn Enpal from 0-150 people. They've seen the ins and outs of scaling phone-based customer processes. These businesses are rushing to deploy AI voice agents. However, creating a demo is easy — building reliable agents that handle millions of calls in production is incredibly hard.
In a world where intelligence becomes a commodity, it is up to us builders to craft new product experiences that let people harness the power of AI.
But building AI voice agents comes with challenges:
*
What is the most intuitive way for humans to build and adjust their own AI agents?\*
How do you build agents that work reliably across millions of calls in a world of non-determinism?\*
How do you ensure that customers can use the latest foundational models without having to understand the technical trade-offs?\*
How do you enable companies to build hybrid teams of human and AI agents?\*
What does human-computer interaction look like if, instead of having UI elements, you have a hyper-intelligent sidekick?\These are unsolved problems. Problems that haven't existed since the invention of computers. Solutions that worked in a pre-LLM world won't work today. Nobody knows how to solve these problems; it's up to us to figure it out.
We’re a small, fully in-person team based in Berlin. Even though most people have told us to build this company in SF because of “better talent” - we know there is amazing talent in Europe. We believe you can build a multi-billion dollar software company in Europe, and there is no better time to do this than now.
your mission
This is a pivotal hire for telli and a career-defining role for a true builder. Your mission: architect our company’s AI-native operating system from first principles. You won’t be running old playbooks; you will be building the intelligent engine designed for one purpose: to deliver a flawless customer experience that scales us to $100M ARR.
what you’ll be responsible for
*
Master the entire customer lifecycle, from designing a seamless onboarding process to driving expansion and renewal, always striving for world-class customer experiences\*
Design, implement, and scale core business processes with an automation-first mindset, using tools like n8n or Zapier to ensure we operate with maximum efficiency\*
Systematically gather, analyze, and champion customer feedback to the founders and our engineering team, directly influencing our product roadmap and identifying new growth opportunities\*
Collaborate closely with engineering to define and improve the internal tools we need to scale effectively and serve our customers better\*
As a foundational member, you will play a key role in defining the culture, processes, and structure of our operations team\what makes you a great fit
*
you are a world-class operator with experience in building and scaling businesses, whether in a hyper-growth startup or your own venture\*
you’re tech-savvy (or have a semi-technical background) and curious about how AI agent products work\*
you are customer obsessed and have a business sense to understand problems, pain points and needs of our customers\*
you have experience in and are enthusiastic about leading initiatives end-to-end\*
you’re are hands-on and not afraid of doing unglamorous work\*
you love solving problems and figuring things out on your own\*
you’re a strong communicator in both German and English\*
you want to work on-site 5 days a week in Berlin\you may not make a good fit if…
*
you need detailed instructions and shy away from taking responsibility\*
you lack experience with automation/AI tools or basic technical understanding\*
you're only interested in high-level \\"strategic\\" work\*
you don't enjoy direct customer interaction or thriving in dynamic environments\*
you prefer working remotely\*
you prefer working with minimal collaboration\*
you avoid hands-on, practical work\*
you want to work a 9-5 job\",

Type: Full-time Remote (US-first)
Team: Founding Ops & Customer DeliveryAbout Besimple
We are a safety data research company. Our mission is to bring AI into the real world safely. We believe that AI can meaningfully empower humanity only if we put safety first. We’re a small, nimble team of passionate builders who believe humans must remain in the loop.
The Role (Founding)
This is our founding operations role. You won’t “run a process”—you’ll design the process, the playbooks, and the bar for what world-class, AI-first data operations looks like. You’ll take ambiguous customer needs, turn them into crisp rubrics and workflows, recruit and train annotator bench globally, and stand up the quality systems, dashboards, and SLAs that become Besimple’s operating backbone. As we grow, you’ll scale the org you built—hiring, coaching, and evolving best practices.
You’ll use AI coding tools (Copilot/Cursor/Codex) and lightweight Python/SQL to automate processes, analyze variance/drift, and accelerate delivery. You’ll partner with customers to define and refine annotation requirements, and with Product/Eng to shape UX, guardrails, and platform roadmap.
What You’ll Do
* Own customer programs end-to-end: translate goals into schemas, rubrics, gold sets, and success metrics; pilot → scale with clear reporting and write-ups.
* Define & refine requirements with customers: run scoping sessions, lock criteria/edge-case taxonomies/IAA targets; iterate as models and prompts change.* Recruit, onboard, and train annotators: source SMEs, design paid trials, build training artifacts, calibrate on gold data, and manage QA/arb loops.* Ship with AI-accelerated ops: write quick scripts and notebooks for data transforms, audits, log parsing, schema reconciliation, and quality analytics.* Build the operating system: SLAs, sampling plans, consensus/appeals, audit trails, and continuous calibration; make quality measurable and repeatable.* Close the loop: drive prompt/model/policy experiments; surface insights to Product/Eng; propose UI tweaks and guardrails that raise signal-to-noise.What Will Make You Successful
* Company-builder mindset: you’ve built 0→1 programs or teams, created playbooks, and raised the bar for quality and speed.
* Customer-facing clarity: you convert open-ended asks into precise pass/fail criteria and aren’t afraid to propose a better spec.* People leadership: you attract, calibrate, and motivate high-judgment annotators while holding a crisp, documented bar.* Hands-on with data & AI tools: comfortable with AI coding assistants plus basic Python/SQL to answer questions fast and automate the dull bits.* Execution bias: you prefer small pilots and rapid iteration over lengthy specs, and you over-communicate risks and status.Qualifications
* 2–4+ years in data/product/research operations for ML/AI, relevance, or safety—or equivalent “high-judgment at scale” experience.
* Track record recruiting, onboarding, and training annotators/raters with gold-set calibration and QA loops.* Demonstrated program ownership: requirements, change management, stakeholder updates, and postmortems.* Excellent writing: rubrics, edge-case guides, SOPs, and crisp weekly reports.Nice to Have
* Trust & Safety, RLHF/RLAIF, search/relevance, or regulated domains (medical, legal, finance).
* Experience designing evaluator UIs, prompt templates, or judgment tasks for LLMs/multimodal models.* Familiarity with IAA stats, sampling methods, or experiment design.Compensation & Ownership
Founding-level role with meaningful equity and scope to define what it means to build an AI-first data annotation company—from playbooks and metrics to culture and hiring.

We are embarking on the next phase of Depot, which aims to redefine the software development process. Everyone at Depot is inspired by the opportunity to help developers ship and collaborate faster than ever before. We are all builders and care deeply about the quality of our work.
We believe that by focusing on performance, empathy, and quality, we are creating a gravitational pull towards Depot, both the team and the product. This is the foundation on which all other things are built.
We are looking to hire our first Product Designer who can further advance our mission to provide not just the fastest place to collaborate on software, but the highest quality as well.
For this role, we expect you to be a seasoned expert, have robust design skills, sharp product thinking, and the ability to engage deeply in technical discussions. We work as a small team where engineers and designers work side by side to test ideas, build proof of concepts, and ultimately ship quality solutions to customers. You will be a key contributor and have ownership & autonomy to see projects through from beginning to end.
Please note: We are an equal opportunity employer and remote-only company. At this time, we can only support hiring within North America and Europe for this role.
Responsibilities
* You will pair closely with engineering and founders to initiate and deliver roadmap projects hands-on.
* You will communicate with existing Depot customers and users to better understand where the overall design could be better, and then you’ll build the solution.* Identify opportunities to redesign key screens and various flows to enhance the overall product, addressing both major issues and minor paper cut types that Depot users encounter.* Create mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas and describe their execution.* Implement a lightweight design system of components to allow others to implement your overall vision of product design for Depot.* Help with hiring new team members who can help push Depot’s team and product forward. What we’re looking for
* 7+ years of experience designing software

We are a fully remote and globally distributed team across the US, Europe, and Canada currently. As a remote startup, there is a collection of things we value and expect from folks:
* We’re only going to get more distributed as time goes on. As such, there is always stuff happening across Depot so we value folks who thrive in that type of environment.
* We’re not your family and don’t pretend to be. We expect you to get things done and work hard to help us meet your goals. But you should spend time with your family and friends, so you should find the balance that accomplishes both.* We’re a small team and aim to accomplish massive things as a lean team. Everyone who works at Depot is a self starter and is deeply passionate about the problems we’re solving, and want to solve them well.* We want you to own it. We firmly believe that ownership is the key to growth and part of that growth is making the choices, and owning the success, failure, and lessons learned that comes with those choices.* We value data. We make decisions based on what the data tells us and what customers need from us. Folks thrive at Depot by being data driven in their decision making.",

about us
At telli we are building AI voice agents that are reshaping an entire industry.
We believe you can build a multi-billion dollar software company in Europe, and there is no better time to do this than now.
what you’ll do:
*
play a significant part in creating telli’s gtm engine to help 10x telli’s revenue over the next year\*
take full ownership of key growth channels and optimize them\*
discover and experiment with new growth initiatives and markets\*
build and manage own relationships with customers\*
drive the complete sales cycle: generating, qualifying and closing customers end-to-end (how much sales you do is for you to decide)\*
be part of building out the founding growth team\*
build processes with an AI automation-first approach\what makes you a great fit:
*
you have experience in building or scaling companies either in a startup environment or in own projects (ideally in a growth setting)\*
you have strong customer empathy and business sense to understand problems, pain points and needs of different companies\*
you have experience in and enthusiastic about leading initiatives end-to-end\*
you’re are hands-on and not afraid of doing unglamorous work\*
you love solving problems and figuring things out on your own\*
you’re a strong communicator in both English and German\*
you want to work with smart and friendly people with (self-reported) low ego\*
you want to work on-site 5 days a week in Berlin\you may _ not _ make a good fit if…
*
you need detailed instructions and shy away from taking responsibility\*
you lack experience with automation/AI tools or basic technical understanding\*
you're only interested in high-level \\"strategic\\" work\*
you don't enjoy direct customer interaction or thriving in dynamic environments\*
you prefer working remotely\*
you prefer working with minimal collaboration\*
you avoid hands-on, practical work\*
you want to work a 9-5 job\",

Overview
*
CircuitHub is primarily built using a combination of Haskell, Elm, Nix, and PostgreSQL, deployed to both AWS and bare metal machines. We use a significant amount of open-source technology, and also try and give back where possible (for example, both [Rel8](\"https://github.com/circuithub/rel8\") and [Fast Downward Haskell bindings](\"https://github.com/circuithub/fast-downward\")).\*
CircuitHub spans a vast problem space. Challenges include computer vision (OpenCV), machine learning (PyTorch), hard optimization problems (Z3/MiniZinc), and all the normal engineering challenges of building both web-based customer-facing and internal tooling.\*
We work on manufacturing execution systems, enterprise resource planning, and robotics. [An old video from Haskell Exchange 2019](\"https://youtu.be/gl2Ze1WmrYY?si=zlFrqALU7DaPfS65&t=282\") hints at what we are up to on the robotics side. We have progressed significantly since then!\*
These roles are remote (any location), in-person, or hybrid, depending on preference.\*
We have offices in Boston - USA, Cambridge, and London, UK.\*
Salary depends on the candidate and location, but as guidance in the UK, a likely range is £70k to £130k and the US $130k to $250k, with additional equity.\*
CircuitHub has raised $20M from top-tier VCs and has been going for about ten years. CircuitHub is profitable, with tens of millions in revenue. Small team (CircuitHub is ~50 employees) with tremendous growth opportunity and low risk.\Team/Environment/Role
Our R&D team is fiteen people, with eight engineers working directly on the Haskell code base. We are looking to expand the team significantly this year. We have many exciting problems to solve, from robotic path planning to more conventional web products.
We are happy to consider candidates without commercial Haskell experience, but your other skills and experience would need to compensate. A possible profile, for instance, would be a professional robotics background with some hobbyist FP experience.
Conversely, for experienced Haskellers without experience in our domain, we will look for interests that correlate with what we are trying to accomplish. Life is too short to work on something you are not passionate about!
