Joon Care is the world’s first teletherapy platform designed specifically for teens and young adults. By integrating the benefits of one-on-one therapy sessions with a mobile app-based experience, we strive to deliver high quality evidenced-based mental health care in the most engaging and accessible way to our customers, and our team has been thrilled with our recently published outcome data for our effectiveness (check it out here). Our company is seeking a seasoned Product Designer to join our team.

As a product designer in an early stage startup, you will be doing a little bit (or a lot) of everything. This means you might design and prototype your core product flows one day, conduct user research the next, and maybe jump in and design a landing page or work on the pitch deck for your next round of funding. Because of that, we are looking for a self-driven generalist who is capable of owning each stage of the user-centered design process, and is excited to learn and develop new skills as they go.

That said, much of your focus will be on 1) improving existing product experiences and defining new ones to increase operational efficiencies, customer engagement, and therapy outcomes, and 2) increasing brand awareness and optimizing our conversion funnel as we expand into new locations.

You will be working very closely with a variety of departments (PM, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Clinical) and will have the support from an extremely compassionate group of people at Joon Care.

This is a full time role that can be held from WA, OR, or CA. All employees are currently 100% remote.

What you’ll do at Joon Care

  • Lead the end to end design process for new and existing products and features (Your work will have impact on all 4 distinct products that each serve our clients, parents, therapists and the internal operations team)
  • Collaborate with Marketing, PM, OPs, and Clinical to optimize the different stages of our conversion funnel (i.e. A/B testing with landing pages or other prototypes)
  • Help make strategic product decisions that’s meaningful to both our business and our customers
  • Design and implement pages for our company website (we use Webflow)
  • Ongoing refinement of our brand and design system with cohesiveness and scale in mind

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have strong UI/UX design skills (for mobile and/or desktop) including prototyping
  • You are knowledgeable or have experience in web design
  • You have experience leading design projects end-to-end on your own
  • You are fluent with common product design tools/software (Figma, Illustrator, photoshop…you know the drill!)
  • You are capable of planning and executing qualitative research projects
  • 5+ years industry experience as a product designer

We think you’ll enjoy working with us if:

  • You are excited to learn and develop new skills, have a track record for being self-driven and resourceful, and have experience managing multiple projects at the same time
  • You enjoy collaborating with others, and you are not afraid to share your opinions or challenge the status quo while doing so
  • You have great attention to detail but also know how to balance speed and quality

Additionally, it is also nice to have:

  • Experience working in an early stage startup
  • Experience building websites from scratch or in webflow
  • A good understanding of business concepts and metrics

Therapy requires openness and compassion in moments of uncertainties. At Joon, we want to bring these values to the forefront of our product experience and we strive to operate with those same values as a team. Joon Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we are committed to being an inclusive workplace that welcomes erse and unique perspectives, all working toward the same goal – to make quality adolescent mental health care more engaging and accessible for everyone. If you see the stars aligning, we would love to hear from you!
