🧠 THE ROLE

We are looking for a Sales Development Rep to join our team who is passionate about B2B sales. You will be responsible for growing Govly’s customer base and meeting or exceeding our revenue goals.

The ideal candidate has experience in B2B SaaS sales and has been responsible for hitting sales goals before. We need someone who can focus on outbound sales efforts (calling, LinkedIn, etc.) that enable us to meet our revenue objectives.

You will work with cross-functional team members and have experience navigating a fast-paced startup environment, be eager to gain meaningful experience, and be passionate about making a big impact in this role. If you are a motivated self-starter who is excited about mastering the inner workings of a startup, please apply.

You'll be expected to work East Coast hours to align with our customers' working schedules.

🏋️‍♀️WHO YOU ARE

You are a self-motivated go-getter who wants to help a startup grow in an exponential fashion. You have strong communication skills, as demonstrated by prior customer-facing sales experience. You also have a track record of sales success and the ability to think strategically.

💡 WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM (required qualifications)

* ~1 year of experience in B2B sales/business development

* Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent degree and/or experience
* Polished communication skills including experience with phone and video
* Excellent outbound phone skills for cold calling-Experience sending and managing hundreds of outbound emails with the ability to track, manage, and follow up

👩‍💻 WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TEAM (preferred qualifications)

* B2B SaaS sales experience

* Experience using a CRM
* Experience at a start-up organization

🤸 RESPONSIBILITIES

* Become an expert in the Govly platform and a source of knowledge for what the Govly platform is, how to use it, and all the functionalities it can provide our customers

* Build the top of our sales funnel
* Actively source new leads & quickly assess the quality of a prospect to determine the viability of sales opportunities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, sales, product, & engineering to ensure a world-class customer experience.
* Keep improving and documenting a repeatable sales process.
* Understand customer issues and needs as well as additional tools and competitive market.

💰 SALARY AND BENEFITS

* Base salary ($65K)

* Monthly commission for meetings set
* Benefits package: healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance
* Minimum 15 days of PTO
* Home office stipend
