We’re building Vy — an AI app that changes how people use their computers. No APIs, no endless integrations, no cloud lock-in. Just an AI that works where you work, across all your apps and files, right on your device.
And here’s the crazy part: it’s already working. We’ve got blind users running their computers with Vy. We’ve got real estate agents, recruiters, developers, and ops managers using it daily to get things done. People all over the world are using Vy to do things they couldn’t before — and spending way less time glued to their screens.
Now we’re looking for our next teammate: a UX Designer / Product Designer / Frontend Engineer (with the emphasis on UX design). This isn’t your typical “make the button blue” gig. It’s about designing how humans will interact with AI at the operating system level. There are a ton of unknowns, we’re essentially defining a brand new category — which makes this role both a huge challenge and a huge opportunity.
What we’d love in you:
• Deep passion for design and user experience (you’ll be the one shaping how people interact with Vy).
• Ability to build — you’re not just a Figma wizard, you can jump into TypeScript and bring your designs to life.
• Curiosity and adaptability — this is uncharted territory. We’re learning, experimenting, and reinventing daily.
• A strong sense of empathy — our users range from blind accessibility pioneers to busy professionals who just want their computers to work for them.
Details:
• We’re based in Seattle, but open to hybrid or remote if it’s the right fit.
• We’re a well-funded startup, so you’ll have both stability and the chance to move fast.
• You’ll be working directly with me and the core team, shaping not just a product but an entire new market.
If you’ve ever wanted to design something that could actually change how people use computers forever, this is that role.

We’re rebuilding our internal dashboard on a LAMP stack (PHP views, Bootstrap, jQuery). You’ll be the UX/UI owner who makes it fast, clear, and pleasant to use - then implements the front‑end details yourself in Bootstrap/jQuery and light PHP view edits. You’re as comfortable finding rough edges and breaking things as you are polishing layouts, tables, and forms.
What you’ll do
- Own UI/UX for core dashboard flows: navigation, search/filter, tables, forms, detail views, states (loading/empty/error).
- Implement UI in Bootstrap 5 + jQuery within PHP templates (light view edits; no heavy backend).
- “Break it before users do”: run pragmatic QA, fix responsive issues, improve a11y/contrast, tighten microcopy.

- Establish lightweight patterns (spacing, density, tokens/variables) so the design stays consistent as we grow.
What success looks like (first 30–60 days)
- Many high‑impact UI/UX improvements shipped (keeping in mind time‑to‑task, fewer clicks, reduced support pings).
- Primary screens refactored with clean Bootstrap utilities; mobile responsiveness feels intentional, with attention to performance and speed as part of the UX.
- Clear empty, error, and loading states across key flows; obvious actions and safer destructive flows.
- A short “UI QA checklist” we can reuse on every new feature.
You’ll bring

crypto payfull-timenon-techproductproduct designer
We’re looking for a hands-on, self-driven UI/UX Product Designer to own end-to-end product UI/UX for Status Apps across mobile, desktop, and web.
Our mission is to give people the freedom to communicate and transact privately, without surveillance or intermediaries. If you want to design for freedom, privacy, decentralisation, and censorship-resistance — not just another SaaS dashboard—read on.
At Status, we’re building a privacy-preserving Super App for secure, confidential communication and financial coordination with friends, communities, and business partners. The Status app brings together:
- an anonymous, peer-to-peer private messenger that makes it easy to communicate and coordinate your financial transactions and interactions in one place;
- a secure, self-custodial, multi-chain crypto wallet to manage your assets without giving up your privacy;
- censorship-resistant, decentralised communities for people who value privacy, freedom, and autonomy in their digital interactions.
This role isn’t about handing over perfect Figma files—it’s about working with Product and Developers on UI/UX that balances usefulness and aesthetics, enabling fast development iterations, and setting up a design process that empowers developers to move forward on their own when possible—while you focus on big, strategic design challenges (UI/UX research for new features, complex flows, new capabilities).
You’ll join a team that values usefulness over pixel perfection and believes UI/UX should be plain and simple, emphasising product usefulness while still being aesthetic. Inspired by Dieter Rams’ design principles, we believe design should be:
- Useful—solving real user needs and making complex crypto interactions simple.
- Aesthetic—pleasing and coherent, because good design feels good to use.
You should be a driver and a self-starter—ready to roll up your sleeves and take care of end-to-end UI/UX for the Status apps (mobile, desktop, and web), while working in tandem with the Program Lead on user research and use-case refinement. This role requires a strong understanding of mobile UI/UX and creating designs that work across devices—from mobile to desktop and web. Your UI/UX won’t be created in isolation—it will be based on product requirements, user research, and development team input on technical feasibility.
Responsibilities:
- Work with product and developers on defining and refining user flows / journeys, use cases, user interfaces for new and existing Status App features
- Produce storyboards, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, UI kits for the Status app products that work across mobile, desktop, and web — but know when “good enough” is better than perfect.
- Research and prototype new feature UI/UX implementations.
- Set up UI/UX design workflows that scale UI/UX design without the development team needing you in every detail.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive design system aligned with the Status brand.
- Build an understanding of system capabilities to anticipate error states, loading states, and overall implementation effort.
- Integrate with our development team to ensure they receive UI/UX design support as they progress on development.
- Work with product on user research and usability testing to guide product decisions.
- Translate complex crypto and Web3 concepts into clear, intuitive experiences.
We are looking for:
- 2+ years’ mobile UI/UX experience with designs that work across mobile, desktop, and web (must-have). You’ll be asked to demonstrate cross-device examples from your portfolio.
- Startup experience and comfort with fast-paced, ever-changing/adaptable environments.
- UI/UX work for Web2/Web3 products — at least one of: crypto wallets, messengers, or social platforms.
- Active participant in web3/crypto/privacy — not just a user (open-source contributions, dev-community activity, small projects, etc.). Tell us :)
- Comfortable moving and iterating fast on UI/UX: reuse existing components/designs where reasonable; avoid long explorations; produce “bare” first iterations (no whistles and bells).
- Strong Figma skills, and open to other design tools, if needed.
- Able to create/edit product images/videos as needed (good enough and authentic).
- Organised without being robotic — plan and prioritise according to the roadmap and product priorities, but ready to jump on urgent or unexpected work.
- Strong communication and collaboration in a fully remote, async-first environment.
- Autonomous — comfortable working asynchronously, remotely, and without constant oversight.
- Curious — always learning and tracking what’s happening in tech, privacy, and decentralisation.
- Located in or near the European time zone.
- Fluent in English.
Bonus points:
- Open-source contributions or experience working in public repositories (e.g., GitHub).
- Able to create product and ad illustrations.
- UI/UX experience working on an open-source project.
- Strong interest in Web3/blockchain/decentralised technologies.
Why Join Us?
- Work on apps that respect people’s privacy and autonomy, not exploit them.
- Fully remote, async-first culture — built for independence, not micromanagement.
- Small, agile team where your work directly shapes the product.
- Open-source ethos: your work is public, transparent, and impactful.
Hiring process:
The hiring process for this role will be:
- Intro call with Talent team member
- Portfolio review on UI/UX design and component decisions with our UI/UX designer
- Task + debrief interview (Optional)
- Product Lead interview
The steps may change along the way if we see it makes sense to adapt the interview stages, so please consider the above as a guideline.
Compensation:
We are happy to pay in 100% fiat or any mix of fiat and/or crypto. For more information regarding perks at Status: https://people-ops.status.im/tag/perks/.

Zuma is pioneering the future of agentic AI and our focus is to transform the rental market experience for consumers and property manager alike. Our innovative platform is engineered from the ground up to boost operations efficiency and enhance support capabilities for property management business across the US and Canada, a ~$200B market.
Off the back of our Series-A in early 2024, Zuma is scaling rapidly. Achieving our vision requires a team of passionate, innovative iniduals eager to leverage technology to redefine customer-business interactions. We're on the hunt for exceptional talent ready to join our mission and contribute to building a groundbreaking technology that reshapes how businesses engage with customers.
Zuma has raised over $17M in funding to date and has support from world-renowned investors, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Y Combinator, King River, Range Ventures, and distinguished angel investors like YC’s former COO, Qasar Younis.
As a Head of Product Design, you will be the steward of product excellence and user experience across our entire platform. This is not just a design leadership role, it’s a chance to fundamentally reimagine how people work and interact with intelligent systems in one of the largest yet most antiquated industries: property management.
Zuma is pioneering a new model of work through agentic AI. Software agents that autonomously complete tasks, communicate with residents, and provide actionable insights to human operators. Our product is unlike anything in the market: it doesn't just support workflows; it executes them while working with the existing human teams. And this means our design challenges are novel, multidimensional, and deeply human.
You’ll be the primary architect of how Zuma feels**,** how our AI interacts with users, how insights are surfaced, how tasks are completed across channels, and how trust is built between human and machine. Your work will directly shape not only the interfaces users see but also the mental models they build, the workflows they adopt, and the outcomes they achieve.
You will:
Collaborate at the highest levels of the company as a member of the executive team, you'll work side-by-side with the founders to define product strategy and business direction.
Design for multiple personas across a layered ecosystem: from corporate operators and regional managers to on-site leasing teams and the renters themselves. Each of these users has distinct needs, contexts, and interaction styles and your designs will need to respect and unify them.
Drive user-centric thinking across the company, bringing a high-craft, systems-oriented approach to how we understand problems, experiment with solutions, and continuously raise the bar for simplicity, elegance, and usefulness.
Define new interaction patterns for a world where users collaborate with AI, not just click through forms. You'll invent UI for things like intelligent agents, task orchestration, and real-time performance feedback, all grounded in trust, transparency, and efficiency.
Bring coherence to the Zuma experience, ensuring that whether a user is viewing a KPI dashboard, replying to a resident, configuring an AI workflow, or triaging alerts, they’re operating within a beautifully unified system.
Scale the design function from its early roots into a high-performing team, building the standards, rituals, and mentorship that shape a durable culture of product craftsmanship.
This is a dream role for someone who wants to build from first principles, challenge conventions, and lead design at a company where your craft and strategic thinking will shape how an entire industry evolves.
What We’re Looking For
* 10+ years of experience designing and leading products with exceptional UX at early-stage or high-growth companies.
* Track record of executive partnership you’ve sat at the table with product, engineering, and business leaders to shape bold product bets.* Deep experience designing complex platforms or tools, ideally for operations-heavy domains (e.g., enterprise SaaS, ops systems, AI interfaces).* A belief in the power of agentic AI, and you’re excited to pioneer new design paradigms for intelligent, autonomous systems.* First-principles thinker with a high bar for craft, your design work reflects creativity, clarity, and restraint.* Obsessed with human psychology, you study what makes people tick, what motivates them, what builds trust, and how to turn tools into emotionally resonant experiences. You understand that good design doesn’t just work, it feels right.* You build with love and care and you see each pixel, interaction, and microcopy as an opportunity to express empathy and respect for the user.* You have high emotional intelligence, you know how to read the needs behind the ask, how to bring people along, and how to balance intuition with evidence.* Strong product instincts and systems thinking, you connect user needs with platform logic and business outcomes.* Comfortable navigating ambiguity, legacy workflows, and rapid iteration in a fast-moving startup environment.*Why You Might Want to Think Twice
* This is a demanding role that will often require extended hours and deep commitment
* You'll need to wade through technical debt and rewrite critical systems while maintaining product velocity* As a founding team member, you'll need to wear multiple hats and step outside your comfort zone* You'll need to make thoughtful tradeoffs between innovation and immediate needs* You'll interact directly with customers to understand their needs and occasionally travel to their offices* We're a startup - priorities can shift rapidly as we respond to market opportunities and customer needs* If you're not comfortable getting your hands dirty with legacy code or speaking directly with customers, this isn't the job for you",

Background
Reclip is a new social media app with over 1.5 million downloads that is changing the way teens capture and share moments. This is how it works: https://www.instagram.com/p/DCXUo5vSMpH/
Reclip is exploding with Gen Alpha and we are looking for some design help for a very exciting initiative.

Convey what a Reclip is: An authentic audio clip caught retroactively (with potential animations).
Spark curiosity and engagement from viewers on other platforms
Align with Reclip’s brand tone, aesthetic, and Gen Alpha sensibility
Target Platforms (in the following order of Importance)
Tiktok

SnapChat
Core Concept
“Caught After the Moment” This is the magic of Reclip. The asset should feel like a surprise time capsule, like someone stumbled on a wild or emotional moment, authentic moment and managed to save it after it happened. It shouldn’t feel staged or scripted — it should feel spontaneous, authentic, and slightly voyeuristic (in a fun way).
Requirements

A visual cue that this is a recorded audio moment, e.g. waveform animation, audio bars, timestamp, or a subtle “Reclip saved” icon
Clear Reclip branding (logo or watermark in corner, color palette, font)
It needs to be distinct and recognisable so when people see it, they immediately notice that it's something unique.
Optional ideas: a hook line such as
“This just happened…”
“Saved with Reclip 🔁”
“Wish you heard this live?”
“Reclip caught it” “Caught in 4k” (We can test multiple copy lines)
IRL Clipping
Format & Specs
Vertical video format (1080x1920)
Shareable as a Story
Lightweight animation OK, but must be mobile-optimized and platform-friendly
Include safe zones for captions/stickers
Deliver as .mp4 or .mov (with .png fallback)
Tone & Brand Alignment
Aesthetic: clean, slightly playful, Gen Alpha-forward
Feel: spontaneous, authentic, witty
Colours: use Reclip’s core brand palette. See end of doc
Fonts: match Reclip’s brand fonts (or approved alternates)
Inspiration & References
Capcut Green screen Templates
Snap “memory” filters and retro visuals
Visuals that evoke nostalgia and “wish I caught that” energy
Other inspo (both audio + visual)
Reclip as a Time Machine?
Rewind Sounds
Harp/Dreamlike sounds
What You’ll Be Doing
Reclip is a brand-new concept, and because it’s so unique, many people find it hard to understand. That’s why we want to redesign what a Reclip looks like and explore creative ways to make it intuitive and easy to grasp.
This is where you come in! Once hired, your main task will be to redesign a Reclip so that anyone can immediately understand what it is and how it works.

Hello!
My name is Hugh Martin, and I own a business called Procountancy. My company helps students in over 40 countries prepare for their professional accountancy exams. We have written textbooks and produced courses that are sold worldwide and continue to work directly with the world's largest association of accountants.
Design has been one of our key differentiators. Our competitors have awful-looking websites and materials that look like they are from the 90s. Everything we do is designed to stand out and look unique, whilst remaining professional. You'll note from the website that we prefer to use dark colours and work from there; this has helped us stand out.
My current designer is one of the best I've ever worked with and has been instrumental in putting together the vision for the business. I would send him details on what we needed to get done, he'd price it up, and we would push ahead. It was an easy relationship, and we produced excellent work together. Due to circumstances in Ukraine, he has now been enlisted, and I need to find someone who can fill his shoes. He has asked me to do this, since nobody knows what the future holds with this awful situation in Ukraine.
Here are the areas that I need support with on an ad-hoc basis:
— UI / UX on our website
— Ad-hoc website design changes
— Ad-hoc document designs
— Online flyers & carousels (ad design)
— Email designs (for marketing campaigns)
I'm looking for someone who is interested in working on an ongoing basis. The vast majority of the work I need done is non-urgent, so I can work around your schedule. If your work is good, it directly benefits me and allows me to invest in more complex and lucrative projects with you. I'm easy to work with and want to see you succeed in our arrangement.
I want someone who can push the envelope. I'm not looking for standard corporate stuff, and I'm happy for you to take a creative approach to our work together.
Thanks
Hugh
