Description
We are looking for a creative to join the Dream Team! You will lead the development of our assets, with the support of a team of contractors that specialize in 3D renders, video, and content.
Mission
You will get to build something truly beautiful at Bìa with a huge amount of creative freedom. We are looking for someone that will embrace the difficult journey of building from the ground up, but loves the challenge. You will truly be able to put your name on something that is admired around the world, all while helping people live happier, healthier lives.
Join us as the Lead Creative and embark on a heroic mission to revolutionize sleep with the Bía Smart Sleep Mask. Your mission will be creating, managing, and fine-tuning our creative assets which result in deep connections with current and future customers.
About Bía
At Bía, we're on a mission to provide a full night’s sleep in half the time. Our first product, the Bía Smart Sleep Mask, is designed to measure, control, and improve your sleep every second throughout the night using advanced neurotechnology.
We're an early-stage startup picking up speed fast. This is your opportunity to get in on the ground floor with the world's next big tech.
Our Values
We take our values seriously. They run deeper than your typical corporate process, we use them as code of conduct for everything we do and we live them consistently through our routines and policies.
Bía Champion of Determination
We are fearless contenders. We believe in hard work and perseverance on our journey to achieving the impossible. Embrace your hunger for progress. Indulge in your thirst for solutions. No matter what you do, don’t stop until you get there.
Bía Hero of Humanity
We believe in empowering others and moving the world forward through compassion and collaboration. We want to help as many people as possible. There are things bigger than ourselves and we need to do our part. We use this value to keep our egos in check and focus on what matters.
Bía Pursuer of Passion
We are people with purpose. We believe pursuing our passions is more than a nice-to-have, it’s a requirement to quality of life. Do what you love, reach for the stars, and change the world. We know where we’re going, and we’re excited to get there.
Bía Master of Gratitude
We believe in acknowledging the gifts in others and ourselves, and using it as a guiding light forward instead of pointing fingers, assigning blame, or obsessing over mistakes. We believe our time is best spent focusing on the path forward that leads to the greatest good. That starts with acknowledging one another regularly for the great things we have noticed them accomplish. We are humble optimists.
Bía Curator of Knowledge
We are lifelong learners. We believe that each piece of knowledge operates as a door to new opportunities. It is easier to stick to what information we have and defend our egos than it is to stay open-minded to new information and be comfortable with being wrong. We want our team to feel curious more than we want them to feel right. Mistakes are catalysts to growth and so we encourage taking calculated risks so long as they come with learning. If they happen to come with some wins as well, that’s a win-win.
What It's Like Working Here
We are a purpose-driven team, passionate about improving the quality of life for every single person on the planet.
During your remote, 4-day workweek, we will give you everything you need to be 100% successful. You will never contribute more to a mission than here. To finish the week, you get a full extra day off to recoup, relax, and live life your way.
We also regularly meet up throughout the year for all-expenses paid, global team-building get-togethers. You will travel the globe on our dime.
Everyone on the team is proactive and hungry to build something meaningful. We hire people that need to be slowed down and encouraged to take vacation, rather than people who always need encouragement to speed up.
We manage by giving you deeply specific objectives, 100% clarity on your role, weekly recognition, and altruistic punishment. Rewarding great work means punishing mediocre work. If you aren't passionate about your work, we're not the right fit.
However, if you are tired of carrying more than your share, tired of your work going unrecognized, and instead dream of working at a fast-paced, high-impact work environment, then working at Bía will be refreshing.
This is our offer. We give a lot, we expect a lot. That's the deal.

Our Mission
The way businesses buy stuff is completely broken. Whether it’s SaaS, hardware, or contractors, the average B2B purchase takes over 3 months, requires 50+ emails, and involves multiple different stakeholders (IT, Legal, InfoSec, Finance, etc.). No one likes the way it is and it’s slowing businesses down. Omnea’s platform handles the entire purchasing process: giving employees an easy place to make requests (Intake), managing the necessary approvals for the purchase to be made (Approvals Engine), and automating all renewals management & supplier risk assessments. Omnea gives both buyers, and finance & procurement leaders critical visibility into how, when, and why money is being spent. Given the current market's increased focus on capital efficiency, there has never been a more vital time for businesses to use Omnea and get control of their spend. This is why we're one of the fastest growing Series A B2B businesses in Europe, backed by tier-1 VCs like Accel, First Round, & Point Nine.
Welcome to Spend Control 2.0 — built for tougher times.
What we're looking for
We are looking for an experienced and exceptional Product Designer to craft and deliver outstanding user experiences. You’ll be taking our product ideas from initial concept and feature scoping through to polished, final designs, and you’ll be joining us at the most exciting possible time.
You’ll be joining us at an incredibly exciting time, just as things are starting to take off! We're a Series A company having raised $25m from Accel, Point Nine, First Round, and 50+ renowned founders and industry experts. We’ve built an incredible & passionate team — every member was a top performer at their previous business - and our CEO, CCO & CFO went on a similar journey with Tessian, going from $0-30m ARR / $8-$500m valuation, and from pre-seed to Series C (Sequoia, Accel, etc.).
We've spent the past 18 months building & deploying our platform to many of the greatest tech companies out there (Lookout, McAfee, Onfido, Typeform, Proofpoint, etc.), all whilst managing to stay lean & operate efficiently.
What Can You Expect?
Shape the User Experience:
Customer-Centric Design: You’ll work closely with our Product, Sales and Customer teams to understand our users’ needs and pain points, often participating in customer calls to gain firsthand insights. This will help you create designs that not only delight users but also drive commercial success.
User-Centered Design: You will quickly develop a deep understanding of our platform and our users, allowing you to make informed design decisions that prioritise ease of use, efficiency, and aesthetic appeal. You’ll also contribute to our design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across our product.
Deliver Outstanding Designs:
Design Scoping: You’ll ensure that every design is well-scoped with clearly defined requirements. You’ll balance business value with user experience, making thoughtful trade-offs and clearly communicating your rationale to stakeholders. With a keen eye for good UI, you’ll create interfaces that are not only visually appealing but also intuitive and user-friendly.
Design Process: For the projects you work on, you’ll own the entire design lifecycle from discovery to delivery, collaborating closely with our Product Design Lead, Product Managers and Engineers to ensure that our features are delivered with high quality.
Align and Collaborate:
- Team Alignment: You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and clarity around our roadmap, both in the short term and with a view to our future vision. You’ll drive alignment across the organisation and ensure accountability for the delivery of our next product iterations. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in evolving and maintaining our design systems, making sure that our design language remains coherent and effective as we scale.
About You
Experience: You have 7-8+ years of experience in product design, specifically in building exceptional B2B SaaS products. You’ve worked across the full stack of design, from scoping and concept development to delivering complex products. While familiarity with our specific market isn’t necessary, you have a strong desire to learn and adapt quickly.
Proven Track Record: You’ve played a key role in creating impressive products, teams, or companies, particularly in high-caliber, early-stage environments. You understand that speed of execution is a significant competitive advantage and know how to move quickly while maintaining quality.
Design Intuition: You are highly analytical, data-informed, and have a strong intuition for design. You can digest customer feedback and empathise with users to guide your design decisions.
Strong Visual Skills: You possess a keen eye for design and the ability to create intuitive, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. Experience with illustrations and animations is a plus, as these elements can enhance user engagement and bring your designs to life.
Action-Oriented & Ownership-Driven: You excel at getting things done and making progress in dynamic environments. You're a strong communicator who enjoys taking ownership and bringing new ideas to life. You balance long-term vision with attention to detail in your daily work.
Comfortable with Ambiguity: You understand that initial product ideas can be abstract, but you have the ability to bring them to life through thoughtful design and iteration. You’re proactive in involving customers and team members to refine and improve your work.
Ambitious and Entrepreneurial: You’re ambitious, competitive, and passionate about your career. You’re happiest when solving challenging problems and take immense pride in your work. You understand that success requires dedication and are willing to make the necessary sacrifices to achieve it.

37signals is hiring a Web App Product Designer. We don’t hire for this position often, so this is a rare opportunity.
We’re looking for a designer, not a decorator. A product builder, not a picture maker. A shipper, not a prototyper. There’s plenty of the latter, but we’re after the former. We’ve built a close-knit team of five wonderful designers, and we’d be thrilled to have you as our sixth.
Depending on your skills and experience, you’ll either come in at the Senior or Lead level. Senior pays $193,858, Lead pays $229,064. Additional perks, benefits, profit sharing, and more are detailed in the handbook.
About the Job
At many companies, product design is split into different roles: UX, UI, front-end development, copywriter, etc. At 37signals, it’s all one role. This means our designers are exceptional generalists. Along with having great visual taste and sensibilities, you must be able to write your own production-quality front-end HTML, CSS, and English. You’ll pair up with a back-end programmer to bring designs, features, and products to life.We believe the best designs come from someone who can see it all through, from ideas to visuals to the finished product. We work from the interface first — starting with design, rather than ending with it — so you’ll be involved in the work right from the beginning. Our projects are design-led, so you’ll have a lot of flexibility, freedom, influence and impact right away. We follow the 6-week cycle Shape Up process, invented here.
You’ll get to work on heavily-used products like Basecamp and HEY that push the industry forward. You won’t be sequestered on a team that only gets to work on a slice of something — you’ll work on all of everything. Working at 37signals as a designer means working on whole products. Existing products, brand new unreleased ones, and internal tools, too.
As a manager of one, you’ll drive shaped projects, big and small, over six-week cycles. You’ll set direction, take ownership, make calls, and ultimately, once situated and comfortable, see things through without a lot of oversight.
You love writing, too. You understand that copywriting is design. The words matter as much as the pixels. No matter how great the visuals are, bad writing is bad design. You should care about how things are phrased as much as you care about how they look.
Here are some things we’ve worked on recently to give you a sense of what you’ll be doing day-to-day.
- Designed a new “Hilltop” view which gives someone an at-a-glace overview of where multiple Basecamp projects stand on a single screen.
- Designed an innovative “Power Through New” feature in HEY which lets someone respond to all unread emails in HEY on a single distraction-free screen rather than one at a time.
- Made significant accessibility improvements to the HEY Calendar.
- Designed and launched a whole new way to add external tools like Figma, Dropbox, Github to your Basecamp projects.
- Redesigned the Basecamp Project Screen to improve proportions, clarity, positioning of various elements, and spacing.
- Extracted reusable CSS components after noticing repeating patterns in our codebase.
- Introduced PWA versions of both Basecamp and HEY so people can run the web apps on their desktops, phones, or tablets as if they were native apps.
- Introduced time tracking into Basecamp with a new feature called Timesheet.
- Designed entirely new UIs from scratch for two brand new products we’ll be releasing in 2025.
We Are Remote
Basecamp is a fully remote company, and this is a remote job. For this position we’re only considering applications from people who live in time zones UTC -11 through UTC +2, to overlap with our existing team. We are not hiring from locations outside of that range, and we won’t consider candidates who would need to work a graveyard shift to make the overlap happen.About Us
37signals has been proudly building opinionated small business software for more than 20 years. As a privately-held profitable company, we don’t answer to anyone but ourselves and our customers. There are no demands from investors, ridiculous growth targets, or trend chasing. We design our products to solve real-life problems, and we strongly defend our customers’ attention and privacy along the way. We build products that endure in a way that’s sustainable.Further, working at 37signals means you won’t be mired in meetings, shaking your head at burdensome process, or be asked to put in hero-hours. Your nights and weekends are yours, not ours. All we ask is a reasonable 8-hour day and 40-hour work week, and we’ll stay out of your way so you can do the best work of your career. We hope you’ll join us.
We respect everyone’s right to participate in political expression and activism, but avoid having political debates on our internal communication systems. Basecamp as a company also does not weigh in on politics publicly, outside of topics directly related to our business. You should be at peace with both of these stances.
