WHO WE NEED

The Product Marketing Manager is an entry-level position within the Product team who is responsible for owning the design and accuracy of both internal and external-facing product collateral. This role as the first-tier product marketing resource is to create and edit new and outdated product overviews, one-sheets, and documentation as prioritized by Product Managers and Sales Leadership.  They will review and manage a library of existing documentation, ensuring branding, design and information are current and accessible to the larger team as well as own the request queue for new collateral from various internal stakeholders.

This role will develop an increased understanding of the user's journey and value drivers for each of our products and client verticals.  They will collaborate with the Product Marketing Manager and other product managers to deliver reference guides and other materials for internal GTM plans and collateral to support sales training and new feature rollout conversations.

By understanding the buyer and client experiences and providing a growing amount of supporting resources, this role will be a major contributor to offering a deeper product understanding both internally and externally.  They will enhance increased product engagement, and enable sales to support clients in gaining more value from the products, resulting in the generation of more revenue.

WHO YOU ARE

The ideal person for this role is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized inidual who has a strong interest and aptitude for copywriting and editing. You are an inquisitive self-starter who loves to polish and refine while working comfortably on short delivery timelines, developing repeatable processes so that you can work smarter not harder.

You are a combination of curious and inquisitive with demonstrated experience in editorial or copywriting who is a whiz with formatting and document design tools such as Adobe InDesign.  You can apply analytical insight and creativity when refining user stories and considering product development priorities that meet market drivers.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand the barriers to conversion impeding the customer journey as it pertains to collateral and product documentation
  • Review the current library of product documentation and client collateral to develop a system for revision or removal, ensuring all are leveraging the most up-to-date branding templates
  • Work with product managers to turn technical documentation for new product releases into approachable reference and product-marketing resources for sales team and client use
  • Provide detailed status reports to product managers and sales leaders on the delivery and accessibility of new and updated collateral

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • 2-3 years of editorial or copywriting experience, or a relevant degree program
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Strong critical thinking skills with an interest in the software and product development space
  • Preferred experience with Adobe InDesign and/or other document design tools
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Desire to continually grow and improve
