About Us

QikServe is an enterprise platform for guest self-service in hospitality, powering some of the biggest players in the hospitality industry.  We’re looking for a UI /UX designer to join our design team to help deliver our digital ordering and payments systems. 

 

QikServe are trail blazers, our founder holds the patent for QR based ordering and we have been at the forefront of digital ordering for 10 years.  Our technology is used in over 5,000 sites across 35 countries.  We specialise in guest facing products, staff interfaces, management tools, middleware and beyond.  In other words, we enable operators to allow their guests the convenience to order and pay for their food whenever and however they want.

The Job

In summary, the job is focused on innovating and developing impactful interfaces and experiences for our customers and their guests. You will: 

  • Work directly with our Head of Design across our suite of digital products, developing a deep understanding of our products and customer needs
  • Craft rich, high-fidelity designs using Figma for handover to Engineering
  • Create UI & UX deliverables such as personas, journey maps, IA, prototypes and wireframes
  • Work closely with our technical teams on handing over design files, as well as ensuring the outcome is in line with the scope
  • Interact frequently with customer facing teams to gather feedback and input during the design phase
  • Drive improvements where possible, offering support to other teams to ensure our products are always well presented

  • You are skilled in Figma and common design tools including Adobe CC (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator), and have a strong capability for creating compelling digital interfaces, products or graphics.
  • Design thinking, problem solving and understanding product capabilities are things you are familiar with and you have a user-first attitude, and truly want to design the right things, in the right way and in the right context.
  • You will have strong self management skills, the ability to self-motivate and solid teamwork skills, with the ability to build momentum and pivot if needed.
  • From ideas to live products you’re happy to communicate and collaborate design decisions with colleagues and stakeholders throughout the design process.  This means you have good communication skills and English is one of your languages (bonus points if you also speak Portuguese).
  • Collaboration and consistency are key and you will have experience of delivering multiple projects in a professional setting, under tight deadlines.  You are inquisitive, passionate and creative as well as being a decent person.
