_The basics_
- The product: We're building a suite of product to serve modern CFOs
- The way we work:
- This is a remote job - work anywhere you want, and in any timezone on earth (or outside earth, whatever).
- We are an asynchronous team - we don't do scheduled meetings, and rely on each team member to pick their own schedule and to communicate clearly in writing and with recorded videos.
- We operate completely autonomously - no one will tell you what to do, we'll just tell you the goals and you will figure out how to work towards them with the rest of the team.
- The role you'll play on our team:
- You'll be our second designer (working alongside our other incredibly talented senior product designer)
- You'll get to know our customers deeply and collaborate with them to not only design new features, but also make our current features exceptional.
- You'll be a thought leader on how to make our product as accessible, effective, and awe-inspiring as possible.
- You'll work with our marketing team to help us tell our story to the world in the best way possible
- Like all start-ups we're scrappy, but not scrappy on compensation: Subscript is committed to paying our awesome team members at market-rate, including benefits.
_Our interview process_
Our interview process is designed to focus on your skills as a designer, and your ability to communicate clearly (both written and via recorded video). We're a fully asynchronous company, so that's how we will communicate in this interview process too 🙂
- After reviewing your application and portfolio, we'll ask you to work on an asynchronous Portfolio Review. You'll get a few prompts to reflect on a previous project, and we'll have discussion (questions, comments, feedback) back and forth in the doc.
- If that goes well, we're excited to see you in action! You'll get a project prompt related to our actual Subscript product. You'll also get a chance to asynchronously ask questions about the product, our target customers, the specific feature in the prompt, etc, so you can use this context for your project. For your project output, you'll create a design and record a video talking through your thinking, so we can get a window into how you approached the design challenge (you will be compensated for this project upon completion!).
- Lastly, you'll have a synchronous Culture Fit interview with a team member, where you'll also get a chance to ask questions about the company culture and anything else that'd be helpful for you to know!
And finally, hopefully we'll send you an offer. And hopefully you'll accept!
_Our design approach and philosophy_
We work only in Figma using auto-layouts, components, and variations. We also have a design system as a separate cloud library. Our main principle in creating layouts is fast delivery of features to our customers, but we always monitor our design system and constantly improve it. It is very important for us to create not just layouts, but the whole ecosystem of our product and design as a whole.

I'm Kimani, Founder and Leader of The SoCiety—a community of creative minds dedicated to innovating in industries ready for disruption. We’re launching a project that reimagines user validation using Unity, React Native, and cutting-edge technology.
While we can’t share all the details until an NDA is signed, here’s the big idea: We’re developing a visually dynamic, scannable identifier that evolves with user interactions—blending animation, interactivity, and real-world usability.
💰 Gig pays $500 USD, with potential bonuses for exceptional work.
Who We're Looking For
We’re looking for Unity developers of all experience levels who are excited about visuals, interactivity, and optimization. If you love bringing animations to life and are eager to learn, this project is for you.
No need to be an expert in shaders, AI, or scanning tech—you’ll be working closely with a CV (computer vision) engineer and other developers to build this system together.
Project Overview
- Develop a visually dynamic animation that functions as a unique identifier.
- Ensure it works well with computer vision (CV) scanning and validation.
- Integrate the Unity module with React Native for mobile use.
- Optimize for performance and responsiveness across different devices.
- Work with CV engineers to refine scanning accuracy and interactivity.
Your Role
- Design and implement the animated visual system using Unity.
- Optimize for mobile performance (iOS & Android).
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure smooth integration and functionality.
- Provide basic documentation on how the Unity component connects to React Native.
Skills That Will Help You Succeed
✅ Unity and C# experience (even if just game development).
✅ Interest in visual effects, UI animations, and optimization.
✅ Willingness to learn and adapt to new tech (we’ll help guide you).
✅ Understanding of mobile development basics (performance, touch input).
💡 Bonus, but NOT required:
- Experience with Unity’s Shader Graph or simple particle effects.
- Interest in computer vision or AI (but again, engineers will handle the technical side).
What You’ll Deliver
- A Unity-based animation module, optimized for scanning and mobile use.
- A well-documented process for integrating Unity into React Native.
- Help with testing and refining the system with the team.
How to Apply
If you're interested, send us:
1️⃣ Examples of any Unity projects you’ve worked on (games, UI effects, interactive visuals, etc.).
2️⃣ A short explanation of how you’d approach integrating Unity with React Native (even if it’s just a rough idea).
3️⃣ Your availability and timeline for project completion.
Additional documents, references, and proof of concept are available upon request. We’re looking for developers who are excited to build something new and creative, not just execute a task. If you’re eager to push your Unity skills further, we’d love to hear from you!
Final Notes
🚀 Budget: $500, with extra bonuses for outstanding work.
💡 No need to be an expert—just have a strong foundation in Unity and be willing to collaborate.
👥 You’ll be working alongside experienced engineers to bring this vision to life.

What is the primary goal of this website redesign?
- We need to update our portfolio, content, culture, services, and capabilities. The current site (www.pacific.co) is outdated and no longer reflects our current approach, services, philosophy, technology, work, etc.
Describe your business and industry:
We are a growth marketing agency that has built a technology helping us ensure brands are discovered where it matters, and matter when discovered, delivering irrefutable growth.
- Wow, that's boring... Let’s try that again…,this time without the suit and tie: instead, let’s call it a 'get-shit-done’ engine that helps us put brands where eyeballs matter, makes ‘em unforgettable, and best of all: makes ‘em more $$$ than anyone else can. There, that's better!
Who are your primary competitors?
What is the main message or value proposition you want to convey through the redesign?
Search plays no favorites. Until we show up. Then your profits play favorites too.
Not just on Google (though we own that too), but anywhere your future customers are searching – from YouTube, Amazon, Pinterest, Reddit, Voice, AI chatbots - If there's a search bar, we're making sure you're showing up. And showing off.
FRAMEWORK + AI MACHINE = STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT
Physics said it couldn't be done. Meet Brand Discovery Optimization, BDO – a framework made scalable, replicable, and ruthlessly effective by ZISSOU, our proprietary AI platform.
13 years of data. 25 industries conquered. 20+ languages supported.
Who We Serve:
Mid-market powerhouses:
100-999 employees
$50 million to $1 billion in revenue
Hungry for growth, armed with resources
Enterprise giants:
1,000+ employees
$1 billion+ in revenue
Complex challenges, massive potential
We're not confined by borders. While our roots are in the U.S., our expertise is global. We've battled in markets worldwide, and we bring that hard-won knowledge to every client, regardless of their home base.
Our Target Personas: Senior Marketing Executives
- We speak directly to the decision-makers. Directors, VPs, C-suite - these are our people. They understand the stakes, they control the resources, and they have the vision to appreciate what we bring to the table.
What are the primary actions you want visitors to take on your site?
- Schedule a discovery call (via Hubspot)
What are the main issues with your current website?
Besides sucking due to old age, it was developed in WordPress and the page templates are extremely difficult to update. We need to migrate it to Wix (current subscribed platform). The color palette and the visual elements are obsolete. The content is out of date. There are many office photos, but we no longer have an office. Some case studies are too old (+10 years), our blogs are not ranking at all.
Plus we have a subdomain which speaks to our technology (zissou.pacific.co) that we are looking to migrate over to the main site and have the two "entities" be unified in style and tone.
Would you want to keep your current website structure?
- Nope
Do we already have a new sitemap?
- Yup
Are there any websites you admire?
Do you have existing brand guidelines to follow?
- Yes(ish) but certainly VERY open minded to new standards/ideas
Do have any visual assets available? (Logos, images, videos)
- Yes.
Do you have any technical requirements or constraints? (Hosting, CMS preferences, etc.)
- The site needs to be developed on Wix, but we are looking for a designer first and foremost. But we are open to working with teams that can do both design and deployment.
We are just going to say it: Brazilians are preferred! :)
Budget?
- TBD, but we know it won't be cheap - let's talk
