We are solving one of the largest yet unsolved problems in global e-commerce. Our tax automation software enables companies such as Uber, Zoom, Lime, Booking.com, GoStudent, and Teachable to expand their international offerings more quickly and stay tax compliant.

Fonoa is looking for a Head of Marketing to help drive our growth. You will be focused on developing a marketing strategy catered toward enterprise clients. Once you have set the strategy, you will work with your team to execute the plan through different marketing pillars such as inbound, outbound, web, and events.

Since we are solving a global problem, it is essential that we craft meaningful storytelling that resonates with clients. We have products that are technical solutions to complex problems. As Head of Marketing, you will need to be data-oriented, technically savvy, and have excellent attention to detail. You will turn ideas into actionable, impactful campaigns that drive results across multiple mediums. You will have to use research to make informed decisions on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.

As the Head of Marketing, you will bring a customer-first mindset when working with the revenue and product teams. You will take the pain point from our customers and inform them of the solutions we have crafted on how we are solving those problems. You will need to be able to collaborate with the leadership team but have the necessary autonomy to make decisions.

What you will be doing:

  • Defining and managing the marketing vision, strategy, positioning, proposition, comms, and budget
  • Developing our marketing communications, PR, and SEO strategies, as well as overall branding, digital footprint, and image
  • Learn about how painful it is for companies to handle tax obligations around the world, and storytelling about how our systems are changing the status quo
  • Leading, motivating, coaching, and growing a high-performing marketing team
  • Work very closely with teams across the company to build new opportunities (Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support, Partnerships, and Product)
  • Research demand for our products and services. Helping to guide market segmentation, flywheel effects, ICP, and persona development
  • Build structure and design the team to deliver demand generation and scale our brand

You would be a great fit if:

  • You have proven experience building global B2B SaaS business
  • You are a builder at heart
  • You have built campaigns targeted at established and trusted brands
  • You move fast and value getting things done quickly and efficiently
  • You are organized and disciplined, and reason from data
  • You have a ‘customer first’ mindset and the intuition to understand our customers’ needs and aspirations
  • You have led best-in-class marketing teams, have designed strategic roadmaps, can prioritize them based on impact and outcomes, and you have consistently overachieved your quantified objectives
  • You have experience overseeing content marketing, and demand generation
  • You’re comfortable recruiting, coaching, and line managing a team of multi-disciplined marketers
