Web Designer (Full-Time, W-2) - US Based Applicants Only
About You
You're the kind of designer who can't walk past a storefront, billboard, or website without analyzing the typography, color palette, and layout hierarchy.
You've studied how brands like Anthropologie, Madewell, Glossier, and Magnolia make people feel something and you’re obsessed with creating that same emotional pull through thoughtful, conversion-driven design.
You’re not just here to make things pretty. You design experiences that feel like a trusted conversation. You’re inspired by what’s trending, but you know how to make a client’s brand feel unique, never cookie-cutter.
You obsess over details, but you don’t get stuck in them. You probably have a Pinterest board full of modern serif fonts, perfect buttons, and photography that makes people want to click “add to cart.” You’ve either worked with eCommerce brands or followed enough of them to know what good looks like and what feels off.
Most importantly: You’re not interested in being a cog in a wheel. You’d rather work on a scrappy, fast-moving team where your ideas actually shape the work. You take the work seriously — not yourself. You’re the kind of person who can give and take feedback with a smile, share memes between milestones, and e deep when it’s go-time. We’re a fun, supportive, no-drama crew, and we want someone who fits right in.
Bonus points if:
You know why brand ≠ logo — and love helping clients figure that out
You follow people like Charli Marie, Dan Mall, Ran Segall, or Josh Comeau
You’ve designed for ecom brands or Shopify storefronts before
You’ve ever said, “this font is giving the wrong vibe” and knew exactly what you meant
You’ve ever thought a little less of someone because they’ve never watched The Office or Parks and Rec
About Capital Commerce
We're Capital Commerce, and we're not your typical "we help everyone with everything" agency. We have one focus: helping successful brick-and-mortar retailers ($1M+ revenue) translate their in-store success into online sales without losing what makes them special in-store.
While other agencies are throwing spaghetti at the wall with generic strategies, we've cracked the code on retail-to-online transformation. Our 12-week Momentum program doesn't just build websites - it creates integrated growth engines that feel like natural extensions of their physical stores.
Why this matters: When we succeed, independent retailers hire more people, serve more customers, and keep small towns thriving. It's marketing with actual meaning behind it.
Our culture: We work hard, celebrate wins, send way too many GIFs, and genuinely care about our clients' success. We're growing fast but we're not jerks about it. We believe in systems over hustle, results over hours, and that the best marketing feels helpful, not salesy.
Job Summary
We’re looking for a Web Designer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and is excited to build conversion-focused websites and branding for independent retail brands. You’ll play a key role in shaping the digital presence of our clients—from early discovery and brand identity to final Shopify site design and handoff.
This isn’t your typical agency role. You’ll be part of a specialized, mission-driven team with a focus on quality, efficiency, and support. You’ll also contribute to Capital Commerce’s internal marketing efforts through digital design work, lead magnets, and visuals that support our own brand presence and client pipeline.
If you’re organized, coachable, client-conscious, and ready to grow alongside a collaborative team—you might be a perfect fit.
Core Responsibilities
Design and develop mockups for client Shopify websites (home, collection, and product pages) using Sketch
Collaborate with the team to build out the client’s Brand Identity Blueprint (color palette, fonts, brand visuals) in Canva
Contribute to early-stage discovery sessions around brand voice, visuals, values, and ideal customer
Apply conversion best practices to design layouts that support eCommerce growth
Revise designs based on client and internal feedback in a professional, timely manner
Work closely with developers and our client success team to ensure site designs align with key strategies and client goals
Internal Responsibilities
Support internal marketing by designing lead magnets (PDFs, downloads), social graphics, webinar assets, and funnel graphics
Occasionally collaborate on team initiatives or troubleshoot urgent client needs
Day-to-Day Activities
Join weekly internal project check-ins and client kickoff meetings
Manage deadlines for multiple clients at various stages of design
Use Sketch and Canva to create new designs or revise based on feedback
Stay in communication with the team (Slack, Basecamp, Loom, Zoom) to keep projects moving forward smoothly
Track and update your deliverables in Basecamp to stay aligned with the team and timelines
How This Role Fits Into the Organization
Design is essential to our delivery. As our designer, you’ll work closely with our creative team, marketing coach, and developers to ensure each client has a brand and website that reflects their story and brings their unique brand experience online. Your ability to think from the client’s perspective, collaborate with teammates, and contribute across departments makes you a key pillar in our growing agency.
Required Qualifications (Hard Skills)
Strong understanding of design principles, layout, and visual hierarchy
Proficiency in Canva and familiarity with Sketch (or with other design mockup tools like Figma, Photoshop, etc)
Basic understanding of eCommerce design best practices
Comfortable managing multiple projects and hitting deadlines consistently
Required Qualifications (Soft Skills)
Excellent time management — proactive with timelines and deliverables
Strong communication — keeps the team informed, asks good questions, and clarifies scope
Receptive to feedback — revises designs without ego and seeks continuous improvement
Team-oriented — jumps in to support others and contributes to a positive work culture
Client-aware — thinks about what the client’s customer needs and what will convert, not just what looks good
Bonus (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications
Experience designing for conversion and retention (especially in eCommerce)
Prior work with retail brands or DTC websites
Advanced Sketch and Canva proficiency
Professional understanding of email design, ad creative, and/or marketing funnels
What We Offer
401k with company matching, paid time off, mental health reimbursement, and QSHERA health care reimbursement
A role on a no-ego, high-performance team that supports each other and learns together
A clear, proven process that sets clients up for success (no guessing what to do next)
Ownership over your craft with support when you need it
Fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy
Opportunity to grow with a company that’s defining a new space in retail + eCommerce

Web Designer (Full-Time, W-2)
About You
You're the kind of designer who can't walk past a storefront, billboard, or website without analyzing the typography, color palette, and layout hierarchy.

Summary
Summary: Seeking an experienced illustrator to create high-quality, hand-drawn and/or digitally illustrated T-shirt designs for a premium coastal lifestyle brand. Must be able to match the quality of top Southern-style apparel brands while creating original, non-copy designs that reflect Creekside’s unique identity.
Job Description: I’m building Creekside Clothing, a premium coastal lifestyle brand that blends the charm of the Southern outdoors with a youthful, modern edge. We’re aiming to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the biggest names in the niche — but with a fresh, original style that’s all our own. This is not a one-off gig. I’m looking for a designer who can help set the visual foundation of Creekside and potentially continue with us as we expand into new product lines. Project Requirements: • Redo two existing designs (American Flag and Crab) in a clean, professional, print-ready style. • Create six new original T-shirt designs in our vintage/coastal style — inspired by the niche but unique to Creekside. • Follow my creative briefs while bringing your own professional design touch. • Deliver vector-based, print-ready files (Illustrator or similar). • Maintain consistent quality, style, and turnaround times.
What I’m Looking For in You: • Proven experience designing for lifestyle or apparel brands, ideally in coastal, nautical, or outdoor styles. • Strong skills in illustration, composition, and typography for apparel. • Ability to work from text briefs and turn them into high-quality, print-ready designs without excessive back-and-forth. • Understanding of apparel printing and how to design graphics that translate perfectly from screen to fabric.
The Creekside Vision: Creekside Clothing is building a premium Southern coastal lifestyle brand from the ground up. We want our designs to feel timeless yet fresh — the kind of shirt people want to wear for years, not just a season. We’re launching with T-shirts, but we’ll quickly expand into hats, outerwear, and accessories, with opportunities for custom illustrations on a wide variety of products. The right designer will help define our signature look and see their work become a core part of a fast-growing brand. If you’re ready to help shape the visual identity of something that’s aiming to dominate the coastal apparel space, this is your chance to get in early. Details: • Timeline: Immediate start • Duration: 1–3 months (with ongoing work possible) • Hours: Less than 30 hrs/week • Pay: Competitive, based on experience and quality

About the job
About Pylon
The $13 trillion mortgage industry at the core of the American economy runs on broken assembly lines with human-powered workflows, stitched-together software, and a series of capital markets intermediates. The costs to originate are at an all time high despite foundational shifts in technology.
Pylon is rewiring mortgages from the ground up. We are building the only API-first, programmatic infrastructure that fully automates credit, compliance, capital, and operations. For the first time, originators can build and scale mortgage businesses entirely through software, not people. Our team comes from Stripe, Better, and Affirm, and we are backed by Conversion Capital, QED, Citi, Fifth Wall, Peter Thiel, and the founders of Ramp, Mercury, Blend, and others.
About The Role
We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to own core experiences across our platform - Command Center (our loan officer dashboard) and Elements (our embeddable borrower loan application and dashboard) that power fully programmatic originations - as well as our brand design. You’ll collaborate directly with product, engineering, and GTM teams to bring clarity to complexity in a highly regulated industry. You’ll create elegant designs that make even the most sophisticated financial decisions feel simple, and you’ll help define the design culture of a company rethinking how the mortgage origination process works. If you're passionate about building clean, powerful UX for deeply technical products and want to work at the heart of the mortgage system, this is your role.
You are expected to
Design core product experiences across our Command Center and Elements products
Work end-to-end from early concept and wireframes to polished final UI
Translate abstract, technical workflows into intuitive interfaces for loan officers, borrowers, and operations teams
Own and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and quality across the entire product
Partner closely with product managers and engineers to scope, prototype, and ship thoughtful features
Obsess over quality and simplicity. Every button, form, or chart should earn its place.
Bring a design voice to every conversation, contributing to product vision, roadmap, and company strategy
Build and shape Pylon’s design culture from the ground up
About You
Have strong, principled opinions that you’re willing to defend. We have a culture of vigorous discussion and debate on decisions. We’ll push you to articulate your choices, and defend them where necessary.
Obsess over the customer and uphold the highest standard. We build for our customers and their borrowers. We will always do what it takes to make them successful on the platform. They are the beating heart of our business.
Have great ideas, and lots of them. You should see opportunities all around you to make the product and design team around you better. We’ll provide the environment to act on those ideas.
Be willing to get in the weeds. You should be able to understand the space like a 20-year veteran in a short amount of time.
Demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship and taste. Your work reflects a deep commitment to precision, polish, and thoughtful detail.
Have a desire to shape the entire customer experience. The product is not just the UI, but also the way users engage with our API documentation, support content, and product marketing.
Requirements
5+ years of product design experience, ideally in fintech, enterprise, or infrastructure
Strong portfolio showcasing clean UX and high-quality UI craft
Experience designing simplicity for highly-complex regulatory environments
Strong Figma skills and comfort with AI prototyping tools
Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with engineering and product
Ability to communicate design rationale clearly and concisely
Experience owning and evolving a design system
Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where velocity matters
Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Bay Area (CA) or New York City.

You’re excited about the potential of AI and eager to explore new UX paradigms in AI-first products
Thrive in early-stage, fast-moving teams
Nice to haves
