We are a Boston-based B2B company developing unique AI Software to optimize the performance of battery packs across a wide range of industries. Electra's EVE-AI 360 Adaptive Controls Technology and Fleet Analytics Platform work in tandem to improve electric vehicle battery pack performance, lifetime, and safety, across entire fleets.

Our focus is in the automotive Industry, particularly electric vehicle manufacturing, EV battery software, connected mobility, fleet management and analytics, and more. Although we are currently focusing on the Automotive sector, Electra's technology can be deployed into the Aerospace, Robotics, Grid and other industries that are rapidly transitioning into clean energy.

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will help Electra build, deliver and maintain software for our customers. You will co-ordinate the activities of Scrum teams to build software components both in the cloud and in embedded devices. You will work side-by-side with the technical leads of the projects to manage schedules, logistics and releases to customers. This is an exciting role with lots of potential for career growth in a high-energy startup environment!

Responsibilities:

  • Managing schedules, logistics for engineering project teams
  • Co-ordinating internal Scrum standup meetings, demos and retrospectives for engineering teams
  • Working with product owners and technical leads on prioritizing activities for team sprints
  • Designing and implementing continuous process improvement activities
  • Hiring and managing junior project managers as needed to support business growth
  • Helping develop systematic software engineering practices such as code reviews, design reviews, unit tests, module tests etc.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher
  • 10 or more years of experience in software-related product development in a corporate environment
  • 2 or more years of experience with project management
  • 2 or more years of experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) active certification
  • Experience in automotive embedded software development
  • Experience in cloud software development
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tool chain
  • This can be a remote position but residence in the US Northeast is preferred
