Legl is a fast-growing, vertical B2B SaaS platform with a mission to bring the legal industry into the 21st century. We just closed our $18M Series B (May 2022), and we are scaling quickly on our next phase of growth.

Our vision is to be part of a structural change in the legal industry so that firms, as well as their clients, have a better experience of accessing legal services. We launched in October 2019 and in the short time since then have acquired over 170+ law firm clients.

We have an agile, ambitious and collaborative team, deep experience across design, tech and the industry, and we put our employees first. We’re looking for people who can grow with us.

Our core values are agility, ambition, and collaboration. We rely heavily on data and first principles decision-making.

The Role:

We’re hiring a leader to own our Sales strategy and execution. Ultimately responsible for logo acquisition numbers and the overall performance of the sales team, our Head of Sales will drive revenue and empower our team. Maintaining a keen focus on building a scalable, repeatable sales process, you will lead on forecasting and reporting alongside hiring and team training.

This is a key role, reporting into SVP Revenue and Commercial Strategy, and will work closely with our Customer Success, Marketing and GTM teams. The Sales team currently comprises AEs and SDRs and we have a RevOps Manager who acts as a strategic partner supporting you across improving processes, consistent reporting and CRM management.

As we continue our expansion, we foresee significant growth opportunities for our Head of Sales as the business considers other verticals, geos and market segments (e.g. enterprise); as well as reviewing how we can better manage cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with marketing and sales ops to ensure we have a solid lead generation pipeline and outbound lead process, and leads are allocated effectively
  • Ensuring the right-sized and shaped Sales team, from hiring to team composition (SDRs and AEs) so that we can deliver on short-term and medium term financial goals
  • Hiring, onboarding and training the Sales team whilst setting targets, incentives and rewards to drive success
  • Line managing AEs and SDRs – and performance managing those teams towards achieving targets
  • Building a scalable, repeatable process; iterating on that process and identifying improvements to funnel conversion rates
  • Building and enhancing pipeline management, forecasting and managing deals at risk
  • Forecasting and reporting to the exec team (and the board) with a particular focus on strategy and highlighting any trends or challanges
  • Collaborate with Product to advocate for changes that will have a positive impact on sales outcomes
  • Working alongside Customer Success leadership to ensure a proper handover process is in place

Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B sales with significant recent exposure to a sales leadership role
  • Experience in LegalTech or selling software solutions into law firms is essential
  • Proven track record of over achieving against sales targets and securing sales within new customer accounts
  • Strong leadership skills, bringing the ability to grow and motivate a high-performance-driven team
  • Naturally analytical with a passion for using data ad metrics to validate assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
  • Consultative approach to sales with exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with high levels of autonomy and accountability
  • Thrives a very fast-paced, scale-up environment
  • Experience in managing, recruiting and leading teams in a fast paced environment
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
