JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

This position reports to the Sales Engineer Manager or to the Sales leader and requires a self-starter with a unique blend of proven consultative sales skills, “sales speak” presentation and writing skills, and technical skills based on previous experience. This highly visible position operates at both a strategic and tactical level with close daily alignment to Field sales activities in the US region. To succeed, you must have the unique combination of a sales mentality with a strong technical aptitude, and the ability to distill multiple input streams with varying perspectives into effective, repeatable sales enablement and training tools.

Your primary day-to-day tasks will consist of:

  • Driving new business sales enablement initiatives, presentations, product demos, and proposals to ensure consistency of new business sales objectives and outcomes for the US Field Sales teams
  • Be the go to technical resource to address deep product related questions for the New Business Sales team for product demonstration, for proposals, for demos, for product trials, and for needs analysis
  • Conduct on-site and web-based software demonstrations and training courses as a subject matter expert for prospective clients and field sales, focus will be on new business and existing business sales
  • Develop and build prospect and demo sample M-Files vaults as needed for prospective customers presentations and demos
  • Develop effective new business sales messaging and scripted demonstration materials that are repeatable by the new business sales teams and in line with M-Files strategic messaging
  • Develop the new business sales tools needed to most effectively support new and existing business field sales teams and for new sales initiatives and new product releases
  • Engage New Business prospects and Sales Representatives on a regular basis to participate in new business sales calls as appropriate to ensure a clear understanding of the “real” conversations and “real” challenges field reps may be facing when articulating the M-Files message
  • Provide comprehensive technical and application support to M-Files new business prospects and Field Sales Account Managers via in person, on the telephone, on the web, and in email
  • Answer new business sales organizations questions related to M-Files products, competitive products, and technical training as well as issue resolution related to product integration within the customer’s unique environment. Ability to clearly present and articulate the M-Files products’ value and business benefits, as well as cover the technical details of the products succinctly
  • Assist in identifying new business customer prospects and their business requirements to better qualify potential prospects for the M-Files solutions
  • Provide market feedback on product and competitive positioning to new business sales, marketing, product development, and R&D teams
  • Assist the New Business Sales Representatives with responding to and providing technical guidance related to RFP/RFI responses

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience in a technology-centric environment. A history of success in selling one or more of the following -- Document Management, Database, ERP, Integration, CRM solutions is strongly preferred
  • Bachelors of Science degree in computer science, engineering, or other technical field
  • 7+ years of sales experience along with the ability to conduct professional, persuasive, remote/onsite meetings with software demonstrations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences
  • Proven work ethic and ability to effectively build and manage a sales pipeline
  • Proven ability to communicate and demo product strengths/benefits with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to listen to the customer and translate their needs into actionable pre-sales tasks and new business proposals
  • Ability to overcome objections and challenges
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g Salesforce.com)
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based environments and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with solution selling, document, and content management systems is a plus
