This is a hands-on position that will involve working on all parts of our stack, from the frontend to the backend, and collaborating with other engineers, designers, and founders. A great opportunity for someone to create a lasting impact not only on the primary product but also on the company's values and vision, given our early stage - we hope Pump would be that career defining opportunity for all of us!

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the rest of the team to design and implement our backend, frontend, and infrastructure.

* Collaborate with other engineers and designers to build a user-friendly and intuitive platform that meets our customers' needs.
* Help define and execute the technical roadmap for our platform, balancing technical debt and innovation to ensure we can deliver on our business goals.
* Inventing, extending, and maintaining development processes, tools, and workflows.

Qualifications:

* BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

* 5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, with a focus on building scalable and reliable web applications, preferably at a pre-Series B startup.
* Strong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework; experience with React and Next.js is preferred.
* Strong proficiency in Python, and familiarity with at least one Python backend framework.
* Experience with AWS and knowledge of AWS cost and billing is a plus.
* Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
* Experience with Docker and container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes) is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Experience with and enjoys creating prototypes and experimenting quickly.

Benefits:

* Competitive salary and equity as an early member of our engineering team.

* Full benefits package, including premium healthcare coverage for you and unlimited PTO.
* Bi-weekly cruises in the SF Bay on our company yacht (our CTO owns one)
* Continuous learning and professional development reimbursements.
* 3-4x/year company-paid team retreats.
* Opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team that values collaboration, innovation, and transparency.
* Remote-first (will have office space as we grow).
