On the role

We are on the lookout for a passionate Computer Vision Scientist who views solutions through a computer vision-focused lens and loves experimenting with new algorithms. You’ll jump work with our team of scientists and engineers to develop & improve our computer vision pipeline on processing geospatial data for detecting methane emissions.

What you’d be getting involved in:Collaborating with product managers, data scientists and software engineers at Orbio to:

1. Develop state-of-the-art computer vision models to improve our detection and validation of methane emissions.

2. Contribute to and peer-review parts of our existing pipeline for Methane Intelligence, focussing on Computer Vision-based methods on geospatial data.
3. Ensure the scalability, performance and reliability of computer vision systems in production environments

Types of people we are looking for:

* Experience with machine learning and geophysics algorithms or applications such as: deep learning, computer vision, optimization, denoising, signal processing or time-series analysis

* Proficiency with Python
* Proficiency working with geospatial data
* Extensive experience working in agile software teams (GitLab, Sprints, etc.)

A Plus:Projects that demonstrate relevant skills (former jobs, PhDs, publications, private projects)
