The Role:
FilmFreeway is seeking a Senior Ruby Engineer to build and optimize the best user-focused product serving the film industry. Our small but mighty engineering team of two. We are a team that values independence and autonomy, and trust our engineers to pick the best tools suited for their tasks, while working collaboratively towards mutual goals.
We adhere to agile principles with a modified Kanban process, where we collectively contribute to several projects at a time, leveraging Jira to create tickets. From there, we brainstorm issues, assign and manage work, and deploy changes. We create WIP PRs and communicate on code changes as they’re happening, and use PRs to help indicate when work is ready to be reviewed and deployed.
As Senior Ruby Engineer, you will be working on the entire system, including feature development, production reliability, infrastructure, maintenance, upgrades, tooling, bugs, and troubleshooting. You will be partnering with our product and customer support teams to design and architect new features that will solve the pain points of our customers. While this is an inidual contributor role, you will also be guiding technical decisions, and providing code reviews. Your work will have a direct impact on our very fast-growing community and will be seen and used by millions of people around the world!
The Senior Ruby Engineer will report to FilmFreeeway’s General Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead feature development while managing timelines and stakeholder expectations
- Collaborate with designers and product developers to conceptualize and build new features end-to-end
- Design, write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby and JavaScript code
- Establish processes to ensure maintainability of new code; upgrade old code to new standards via refactor and replacement

The Role:
Backstage is seeking a remote Senior Frontend Engineer to join our passionate web team. Our frontend web team consists of six engineers, and includes mid and senior level engineers, a tech lead, and an engineering manager. This team is a part of Backstage’s larger product and engineering department, which numbers approximately thirty high-performance engineers, designers, product managers, analysts, and quality assurance resources. What You’ll Do:
- Partner with product, marketing, business intelligence, and design teams to create beautiful, usable interfaces for desktop and mobile web

The Position
This VP of Blockchain Analytics is responsible for leading an internal team at The Tie dedicated to supporting a top-tier L1 blockchain. It is a client-facing role dedicated to fostering strong relationships with multiple points of contacts within our client’s organization. In this capacity, the VP will ensure consistent communication and engagement, actively addressing the client’s evolving needs.
In addition to relationship management, the VP will lead a group of data scientists, research analysts, and engineers, setting clear objectives, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality insights and deliverables. This leadership role involves managing many concurrent projects and initiatives, mentoring team members to advancing their skills and careers, and maintaining a focus on exceeding client expectations.
The VP will also take a hands-on approach to identify and explore patterns within our proprietary datasets, leveraging advanced analytics and quantitative tools to empower the client to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage a strong relationship with the client, actively engaging them to understand and respond to their evolving business needs.
- Partner directly with the client to align project priorities, share insights, and implement operational quantitative tools.
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, research analysts, and engineers effectively managing project workloads to ensure timely execution and delivery.
- Oversee the production of high-quality insights and presentations, ensuring delivery that exceeds the client’s expectations.
- Utilize advanced data and analytics tools to empower the client to optimize their decision-making process.
- Foster collaboration across The Tie by sharing knowledge, building reusable internal tools/repos, and brainstorming approaches to solving similar problems.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data science, data analytics, or data engineering.
- Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and build strong relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership with a proven track record of successfully managing a team.
- Technical expertise: Data engineering, data visualization, Python/R, SQL, AWS.
- Strong interest in cryptocurrency and its applications.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, with a willingness to embrace new projects and challenges.
- Willingness to travel as required.

Salary range: $165,000 - $200,000 (commensurate with experience)
