NEAR UA is looking for a Senior Node.js Developer who will join a dynamic startup environment.

This vacancy we’re filling for our friends — a web3 company which is developing a revolutionary platform for decentralized social networks with native monetization features. The company received two technical grants from the Web3 Foundation and a co-founder of Ethereum (the creator of Polkadot).

Team
Today, a team consists of around 15 people who are located worldwide. The team develops and improves their own products, and most of the code is in open source. The projects are running by using Kanban with Scrum elements (daily status updates and retrospective team meetings).

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js
• Understanding of relational and NoSQL systems: PostgreSQL ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Neo4j
• Designing of REST and GraphQL APIs, microservices
• Highload, scalability, stateless architecture
• Open-source project experience. GitHub / GitLab links are greatly appreciated
• Strong English language skills, both written and spoken
Advantages
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
• Experience with Front-end (React)
• Solid understanding of the blockchain-based DeFi space across multiple ecosystems, including Ethereum, Polkadot, or NEAR
• Hands-on experience with Substrate and/or Solidity
• Experience with IPFS
• Knowledge of networking protocols, p2p, distributed systems
• Understanding cryptography algorithms, blockchain concepts
• Software design patterns
Responsibilities
• Create new applications, APIs, services / microservices as well as upgrading existing one
• Refactor and optimize an existing codebase
• Perform code review for other developers
• Technical documentation for other developers
• Working from a timezone friendly to Central European Timezone
