Volt Protocol is a stablecoin system with a native stablecoin, VOLT. Unlike most stablecoins, VOLT is not pegged to any existing currency. Instead, it is stable in regards to the consumer price index (CPI), meaning that holders of VOLT have their purchasing power protected against inflation. Depositors mint VOLT by supplying another stablecoin such as FEI, or borrowing on their crypto assets such as wstETH (wrapped staked Ether) or liquidity pool tokens. Holders maintain a stable purchasing power.

Our seed round supporters include expert contributors in decentralized finance (incl. founders of Nascent).

As our front end lead, you’ll be responsible for developing a modern and performant web3 UX for our users. You’re motivated to take ownership of product and user experience.

We place a high value on front end security. We’ll seek to minimize dependency complexity and have CI processes plus security review for changes to the live site to ensure our users are protected from attacks.

As a senior engineer getting this team off the ground, you’ll be creating the main interface by which users access the protocol. The ideal candidate is an avid DeFi user who is motivated to build the kind of product they’d like to use.

What we offer:

  • Base salary $200k+ (on chain payment of stablecoins) and vesting tokens (0.5+% of VCON supply)
  • Small team with deep cross-DAO connections —we’re part of a vibrant and intellectually stimulating ecosystem with a strong ethical foundation
  • Brilliant advisors — we are honored to be supported by an all star group of seed round participants including highly technical founders and experienced developers who you will be able to collaborate with

What we’re looking for:

  • Talented and motivated engineer looking for growth with understanding of the DeFi user experience
  • Partial daily overlap with PST required, ability to physically locate in San Francisco or Los Angeles preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated interest in web3 — you have firsthand experience as a user of web3 which informs your perspective on UX
  • Strong security focus with ability to set up CI and other security measures needed for the front end
