Role Overview:

The Application Support Engineer is a key role in our operations organization reporting to the Sr. Director of our Application Support team. They will be responsible for the set up of clinical data feeds from our clients through to our batch data ingestion processes for use in our product platforms. This will include being able to help clients set up scripting used to extract data from the clients database through to our environments for processing. They will help establish automated schedules and understand best practices to ensure a stable flow of data.

In addition, the candidate will continue to support our clients beyond the initial set up and ensure we receive data based on scheduled intervals, help the client as necessary to work through any issues preventing the extraction of data, as well as any potential internal issue preventing us from ingesting the data into our product platform. The candidate will be highly motivated to understand the existing processes in place along with any challenges faced. They will tactically resolve any issues preventing the data ingestion feeds from processing to completion but also look at how to prevent future issues or automate resolution to ensure continued stability. A great candidate will bring passion and discipline for managing the stability and availabiltiy of production systems.

A successful candidate will keep production applications stable, available and functioning appropriately. They will ensure data feeds from customers are active. They will have elevated the company’s maturity in ways that build on our great culture today.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of production business applications and Data Ingestion processes
  • Support of data in
  • gestion processes, ensuring healthy data flow and the ability for customers to make critical clinical decisions
  • Facilitate the onboarding efforts for new client data feeds
  • Create proactive solutions for monitoring & detecting potential issues, ultimately resolving an issue before they can impact the business & customers
  • Collaborate with engineering to get necessary platform enhancements for support & operations that help drive stability, visibility and early detaction to remediate concerns before impact
  • Interact and communicate with client side technology teams as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotations
  • Support and enhance our collaborative and innovative team culture that spans the organization
  • Mentor, challenge, and grow your peers on the Medalogix technology team
  • Working knowledge of Sql, SQL Server, Snowflake, Powershell and Bash scripting
  • Ability to triage production incidents and resolve issues across batch data processing flows
  • Improvement mindset focused on automated monitoring/alerting and remediation
  • Prior experience supporting batch data processing and other relevant experience desired
  • Strong communications and presentation skills
  • Experienced in Windows and Linux operating based systems
  • Capable of work in a highly collaborative, team based culture
  • Continuous knowledge oriented to develop new skillsets and learn new tools

Experience & Qualifications:
