We’re TeeTurtle, a bustling eCommerce/consumer products company that creates nerdy toys, games, apparel, and accessories. We are looking for a passionate Director of IT to lead our IT and web development teams. This role is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Chief of Staff.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional project manager, mentor, and leader. They are able to assess numerous strategies and communicate risks and potential outcomes effectively. They manage change effectively and are able to build trust across all levels of the organization. They ask the right questions and are resourceful in always finding the best answer. They exhibit a high level of empathy in all their interactions and establish buy-in through clear, transparent communication. They balance mapping out a strategy and executing that strategy and are eager to do whatever it takes to stay ahead of our rapidly growing business’s ever-changing needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the leadership team to anticipate and support all technological requirements for the successful completion of strategic and financial goals;

  • Assess priorities and provide leadership across IT and web development to support all company initiatives and ensure future success;

  • Identify new information system developments, technologies, and big data solutions that address organizational needs and lead their implementation to set the company up for future success;

  • Oversee web development innovation projects to provide solutions and enhancements to the TeeTurtle eCommerce platform;

  • Lead cross-departmental technology projects to streamline operations and launch new initiatives in alignment with the company vision;

  • Own and manage the organization’s database to ensure data integrity and accuracy;

  • Oversee large-scale software projects and implementations, including ERP system assessment and potential migration, to ensure risks are addressed and minimized, and the organization’s goals are achieved;

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate all automation and IT processes and implement optimizations and automations to eliminate inefficiencies and improve profitability;

  • Perform Cyber Security risk assessments and lead mitigation and remediation efforts based on real-world attack potential to prepare the organization for any scenario;

  • Create and maintain a Business Continuity Plan to ensure the company is prepared in the event of unforeseen circumstances;

  • Oversee the writing of and regularly review standard operating procedures to ensure all processes are effectively documented and understood by all team members;

  • Manage relations with external web development teams and monitor work to ensure all paid work is done on time and to business specifications;

  • Effectively direct the IT team by providing support, clarification, training, and direction in order to keep morale and engagement levels high as the company continues to grow;

  • Exemplify and uphold a culture of excellence in alignment with TeeTurtle’s mission, vision, and core values to inspire each member of the team to be their best every day;

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent required;

  • 5+ years of experience in technology and data management;

  • Experience working in a hypergrowth environment preferred;

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a track record of delivering on multiple, concurrent commitments with minimal supervision;

  • Strong attention to detail;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Experience designing, improving, and documenting processes that increase efficiency with cross-functional teams;

  • Strong ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected situations;

  • Ability to manage outside resources to accomplish work;

  • Ability to coach, mentor, work cooperatively, and develop trusting relationships with employees;

  • Familiarity of QuickBooks preferred;

  • Expertise with Exenta or other similar IMS/ERP/WMS systems;

  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Trello preferred.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000
