Cloudsmith is looking for an exceptional full-time New Business Account Executive to work remotely. If you are hungry, nimble, and intelligent - with the ability and willingness to nurture leads and close business, we are looking for you.

 

Cloudsmith is a leader in software supply chain management. Allowing organizations to manage software via the cloud, eliminating the need to hire dedicated support staff to handle expensive and unwieldy on-premises solutions.

 

Our artifact management platform helps teams secure their software supply chain by providing a single place to store all their software assets. We provide a place to collect all the

  • external dependencies your team ingests,
  • custom software packages you create,
  • containers (eg Docker images)
  • Terraform modules
  • Helm charts (for container orchestration)

 

We help you control and manage these assets, automatically scan for vulnerabilities and malware, and improve your development team’s productivity.

You will be responsible for engaging and qualifying inbound leads, developing them into sales-qualified opportunities, and growing new business.

We are looking to expand our sales team and bring the value of our cloud-native offering to organizations.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for qualifying inbound leads (MQLs) and developing them into sales-qualified opportunities.

  • Proactively engage with prospects and follow up with clients to meet their needs.
  • Nurture qualified leads and drive to conversion.
  • Develop an active and vibrant pipeline equal to 3x quota.
  • Offer initial solution overview and help identify customer goals/challenges.
  • Develop excellent relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Performing research on accounts to help increase interest in the organization and our commercial offerings.
  • Prepare activity reports and update and maintain Salesforce.com.
  • Assist sales management in conveying customer needs to the marketing and technical support team.
  • Provide quotes, proposals, and support to senior sales.
  • Take ownership of rescheduling any postponed meetings and prompt follow-up of inbound inquiries.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

 

Experience

  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals with a solid track record.
  • 5 years of sales-related experience.
  • Proven experience in sales within the IT sector. Ideally, you would have sold or prospected software, cloud, or DevOps solutions.
  • Proficiency in working in various CRM, sales prospecting tools, and web-based conferencing systems e.g MS Office suite, Salesforce.com, Intercom, and Zoom.
  • Ability to comfortably engage with technical buyers and procurement.
  • Great written and oral communication skills for creating professional documents and giving presentations to interested clients.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to listen to concerns and handle criticism.
  • Positive attitude and want to be part of an energetic sales environment.
  • Expertise in conflict resolution.
  • Hungry to learn, genuinely curious, and know how to get the answers to your questions.

About The Location

Requirements

  • 3-5 years sales related experience in B2B Saas/technology sales

- Prospecting, value-based / consultative selling, using effective discovery questions & identifying relevant customer initiatives

  • Industry knowledge

- DevOps, continuous integration & continuous deployment, containers (eg Docker), container orchestration (eg Kubernetes)

  • University degree (essential)

- Master's degree (or MBA) is desirable
