Frontend Engineer

  • Full-Time
  • Location: Pasadena, CA HQ or Remote within USA

Please note: This position may work on projects related to the Department of Defense. You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship with the ability to obtain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required by the DoD for security clearance.

The Role

As a Frontend Engineer focused on our Virtualitics Predict product, you will bring our data analyses to life with engaging user experiences and compelling visualizations. Virtualitics Predict is a cloud-native platform that automates analytic workflows and interactive reports. The AI and analytics deployed through Virtualitics Predict have been applied to Predictive Maintenance, Bioinformatics, Cybersecurity, Asset Management, and much more.

This position will benefit from an interest in building well-tested frontend architectures, visualizing key data insights, and creating simple, but powerful user interfaces. You will work closely with a variety of personnel – Designers, AI Engineers, Backend Engineers, Cybersecurity Engineers, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Translate design wireframes into prototypes and finished products
  • Write modular, well-tested code on a daily basis
  • Create responsive visualizations to support data explainability
  • Build visual identities for our applications
  • Create stable systems to manage data and state within the frontend

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong application development skills using JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Proficient with CSS and HTML
  • Experienced with React and Redux
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government

Nice to Have/Bonus Skills:

  • Proponent of Agile software development and testing
  • Familiar with Data Visualization libraries, ideally D3
  • Comfortable working with Python and Flask
  • Savvy with frontend component libraries like Material-UI
