Summary of the role:

This remote role is responsible for leading, developing, and managing M-Files North America direct sales teams to achieve their quarterly and annual sales goals. The Sr. Director, North American Sales - Major Accounts, assumes responsibility for the direct sales unit's annual sales goal. The Sales Director is also responsible for driving the professional development, recruitment of sales staff, including mentorship, training, and performance evaluation. This inidual will also provide input to senior management related to the go-to-market strategy for target markets.

The Sales Director systematically coaches the sales teams in positioning M-Files products, messaging, and services to ensure optimal chances of closing qualified opportunities. The position requires the ability to multi-task between teams in support of different clients, sales opportunities, and other initiatives. You will act as an enabler to remove both internal and external roadblocks and helps the sales teams resolve challenges in support of closing sales opportunities. This role reports to SVP, Sales North America.

What you will be doing/Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Remotely lead a team of Account Executives focused on Major/Enterprise accounts to achieve sales targets
  • Collaborate with P&C Team on recruitment efforts and team performance management
  • Provide training and coaching in the use and application of M-Files Sales Framework and identify any skills gaps and develop plans to address them
  • Manage Sales team leads and run monthly Sales management team meetings
  • Leverage and communicate competitive losses/wins across the sales and marketing teams
  • Provide day-to-day guidance for direct sales force in matters of problem resolution, sales strategies, competitive analysis, and pricing, bids/RFPs/RFQs, and corporate policy interpretation
  • Work with senior management to set budgets and implement strategies and plans
  • Assess skill sets and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members and managers to meet objectives, reinforce sales methodology and provide guidance on career path direction
  • Identify market potential (geographic, product, and other applicable areas), and set sales tactical plans to capture this potential, and manage investments to eliminate coverage gaps
  • Provide sales forecast for the current month, quarter and year broken out by each sales rep for senior management
  • Manage and coach team members to ensure accurate and timely forecasts which are reflected in CRM
  • Communicate marketing requirements and competitive data, including pricing, feature needs, license models and value proposition strategies to product stakeholders to senior management
  • Implement account and opportunity planning processes and develop new initiatives to maximize revenue and market potential and lead sales management in developing execution strategy
  • Work with channel team to Identify key CSI partners across Nordics that support the sales strategy
  • Ensure CRM system is adopted and leveraged to full effect by Nordics sales reps and managers
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of sales engineers in all opportunities throughout sales cycle
  • Develop plans with sales team to expand and maximize ARR contribution of "top x" customers across Nordics
  • Drive collaboration between direct and channel sales encouraging co-sell where appropriate

Requirements

Who you are/Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years in a direct sales inidual contributor role (preferably in a technology driven filed)
  • 5+ years of sales management experience (preferably in the Software or Information Technology industry)
  • Experience in managing teams that sell complex technical business solutions and have a strong understanding of business drivers for ECM solutions within target organizations
  • An understanding of overall business functions and the impact of technical decisions on business results
  • High degree of motivation and professionalism with advanced organizational, project management, negotiation, change management, problem solving skills, process management, leadership, coaching, mentoring, resource management, and team building skills
  • Pipeline Management & Forecasting skills - Able to evaluate the pipeline at a team as well as inidual level and adjust in the overall business plan to address systemic problems.
  • Apply judgment to aggregated forecast from their team based on familiarity and experience with the forecasting tendencies of their teams
  • Sales Process Execution - Performs regular detailed strategy reviews for all active opportunities. Also checks progress against the overall account plan
  • Knowledge of complementary hardware and software solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic, attitude, and follow through ability
