Marketing Designer (Contract)

At Mimo, we believe that coding can open doors to careers and opportunities like few other skills. That’s why we’ve rallied around the common goal of making coding universally accessible.

We are looking for an experienced and highly collaborative Marketing Designer to be a design contributor to our Marketing team committed to crafting assets to speak to our learners with visuals, and animations through paid and organic growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build beautiful and functional Marketing assets
    • for paid advertising channels (videos, static images, animation),
    • for organic social media (videos, static images, animation),
    • for new content pieces that we publish and distribute online (blog posts, e-books, landing pages),
    • for in-app events and other new emerging mobile acquisition formats (static images and animation),
    • video concepts and images for brand and viral campaigns on other channels (e.g. TikTok, YouTube).
  • Maintain and optimize assets consistent with our brand standards on the app store.
  • Creating images for emails, rich push notifications, in-app messages, and other CRM channels.

You’ll thrive in this role if

  • You’ve got a strong eye for design. You can identify when work can benefit from more time or investment, identifying gaps in visuals or animations.
  • You’re deeply passionate about video editing. You bring sound video editing and animation skills and love to hone them, as most of our advertising concepts are videos.
  • You’re a proactive and collaborative designer. You enjoy contributing to a multi-disciplinary team, and close-meshed feedback cycles.
  • You care about more than design quality. Whatever you do, needs to have a business impact. You can make trade-offs between speed and quality.
  • You love to be part of the action. You keep up with the industry trends, can assess new tools and techniques, and commence new ideas and solutions for the Marketing team.
  • You’re user and data-focused. You are constantly looking to hone your instincts through user feedback and data insight.
  • You’re constantly on top of things. You feel comfortable managing schedules, setting priorities, and meeting realistic but ambitious deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A portfolio of work you’ve designed and shipped in the past. Applications without a portfolio won’t be considered.

Compensation

You can expect a salary of about 35 an hour (or the equivalent in your local currency). Our contracts are written on a project basis.
