JOB DESCRIPTION

Functional Nutrition Alliance offers in-depth Functional Nutrition training for health providers of all levels. Full Body Systems, our core nutrition immersion program, skillfully blends the art of practice with the science of nutrition. Functional Nutrition Alliance was founded by Functional Medicine Nutritionist Andrea Nakayama to help coaches and clinicians develop the skills needed to help anyone, no matter their signs, symptoms, or diagnoses.

The Functional Nutrition Alliance brand manager has two critical roles; the first is to be the guardian of the brand and responsible for ensuring that the products, services, and marketing efforts resonate with current and potential students/customers. The second critical role is to develop effective brand marketing strategies, promote growth and expansion of brand awareness with target personas, author and implement brand content marketing plans.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in using data to demonstrate the impact of brand management and brand marketing efforts on revenue and profitability objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy/Opportunity

● Be the brand champion and expert and ensure brand integrity in all respects

● Develop brand positioning and messaging in partnership with key stakeholders; demonstrate an understanding of customer demographics and segmentation

● Analyze brands of competitors, consumer trends and buying behaviors

Collaboration

● Develop a deep understanding of the brand DNA/history, gain input on key strategies, and gain alignment on key messaging points they will be communicating

● Create and deliver content marketing campaigns across appropriate channels leveraging new and existing content

● Collaborate with paid media acquisition marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging and to identify opportunities for content marketing campaigns to improve paid media results (and vice versa)

Accountability

● Set and rigorously evaluate the budget for content marketing

● Contribute to sales forecasts and relevant financials and reporting

● Ensure content across channels; including digital media/assets, artwork, print, and press releases, all align with brand strategy

● Ensure that marketing and communication efforts adhere to agreed goals, timelines, and manage expectations with various stakeholders

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

● Strong understanding of brand architecture; able to organize brand priorities, generate original concepts based on consumer and business needs, and develop compelling narratives to communicate ideas

● Experience developing and executing effective content marketing strategies

● A broad set of strategic skills and experiences across brand, content, user experience, digital marketing, social media and campaigns, and digital transformation

● Experience in brand management and/or content marketing in nutrition, health, or wellness verticals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position takes place in a virtual office environment and there are no unusual physical demands. Travel may be required from time to time depending on role.

This role requires an understanding of working in and with a virtual workforce. All applicants are expected to be successful working independently in a virtual setting.
