The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle is now hiring a Director of Administrative Assessment, reporting to the Associate Vice President for Accreditation and Assessment at the Daytona Beach campus. This position can either be based at the Daytona Beach campus or as a remote/hybrid position, depending upon the final candidate. The primary function of the Director of Administrative Assessment is to establish a comprehensive process of assessing administrative support services, using evidence-based practices, towards supporting Administration with:

  • The alignment, assessment, implementation, and improvement of all University strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Compliance with SACSCOC The Principles of Accreditation, specifically overseeing Foundations for Quality Enhancement, Section 7.3 and Section 8.2.c.
  • The implementation of the most effective and efficient assessment strategies.

The Director of Administrative Assessment will:

  • Establish and provide direct support for a comprehensive, ongoing program of assessment, working to ensure that rigorous and meaningful reflective assessment occurs regularly, that university administrative support services as a whole are engaged in assessment, and that evidence-guided improvement results from assessment efforts.
  • Assist administrative units in utilizing data for continuous improvement and sharing successes through engaging, meaningful storytelling.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate administrative assessment training seminars/webinars to continually enhance the rigor of administrative assessments on all campuses.
  • Design, implement, and manage a robust Administrative Program Review process that comprehensively evaluates all administrative support service areas over a seven-to-ten-year cycle, resulting in memorandums of understanding outlining administrative support service department-level enhancements to be implemented, as needed.
  • Oversee the development of online method(s) of storing and reporting pertinent administrative program evaluation information over time.
  • Align and integrate the administrative program evaluation processes with other university planning, evaluation and accreditation functions to maximize the benefit and efficiency of institutional effectiveness efforts.
  • Collaborate with the offices of Information Technology, Institutional Research, Institutional Efficiency, and others as needed to ensure constituent access to appropriate institutional data in support of administrative assessment and administrative program review.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of processes related to academic and administrative review and make recommendations for improved efficiency, and
  • Provide outstanding consultative services that represent ERAU professionally in regional and national assessment forums.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of solid experience in higher education administrative support service assessment.
  • Ability and desire to use data to tell meaningful stories.

  • Recognize and perform duties although not directly assigned-assisting others as needed.
