Founded in 2019, Space Forge is a bold and fast-paced in-space manufacturing company developing the world’s first returnable and re-launchable satellite platform, the ForgeStar. We are transforming return from space to enable new techniques to produce products and services for the benefit of all.

The ForgeStar can support a wide array of missions, from in-space manufacturing of new materials and microgravity research, to planetary landing systems and deep space exploration.

 

We are looking for someone who can lead on key commercial and institutional relationships to catalyse the opportunities Space Forge has with its clients in delivering revolutionary space capabilities. You’ll work closely with our business and engineering leads and have the opportunity to build a team and shape your area of the business.

 

About the role

This is a newly created position responsible for coordinating the technical relationship and associated activities between our clients, customers and relevant internal stakeholders. You’ll be a customer advocate, acting as the ‘voice of the customer’ within the company. Through an expert-level knowledge of our products, you’ll support our customers with any product related issues or opportunities whilst advising on product performance, agreeing specifications and assisting in problem solving and trials.

What will you be doing?

Primary Role

  • Evangelising Space Forge’s capabilities to potential customers - demonstrating the potential of ForgeStar platforms for a mix of users across research and exploration needs.
  • Representing the company and promoting our brand at trade shows and conferences
  • Helping our customers with technical support matters
  • Shaping the delivery of user documentation, tutorials, training material and our customer portal
  • Contributing to pre-sales material such as blog posts, white papers and FAQs

Your Goals

  • Space Forge’s profile, purpose and potential are communicated effectively to current and potential customers and research institutions
  • Space Forge has an informed knowledge of other operators in the sector and can leverage key differentiators against other on-orbit infrastructure
  • Technology developments and outcomes can be translated into winning customer literature

Requirements

Requirements

  • The ability to communicate technical concepts across both technical writing and customer literature
  • Ability to engage with and manage multiple stakeholders across customer value chains from institutional research to end-users
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work well with and gain the trust and confidence of others;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team as part of a fast-paced technical environment;
  • enjoys making an impact and shaping how businesses operate
  • Strong listening skills with an ability to hear what the prospective customer is saying (what they need) and assist in a timely professional manner

Desirable

  • Experience in the space or advanced material sectors
  • Experience working with the European Space Agency, UK Space Agency and other government agencies
  • Track record in preparing winning proposal

Benefits

Salary range: £45,000-£60,000 depending on experience
