Salary: £35,000 - 42,000 per annum dependent on experience

We are looking for a talented Brand Marketing Associate to join Elephant’s Marketing team and drive Elephant’s ambitious mission and growth.

Role overview: Brand Marketing Associate

We are a small, ambitious team, intent on building a world-class marketing engine to bring the Elephant brand to life, drive demand within the market, and amplify the voice of our customers.

We are looking for a Brand Associate with 2+ years experience in marketing and brand communications, who is ready to join the growing Elephant marketing team. The role will report directly to the Brand & Comms Manager, working closely with the VP Marketing and cross functionally (Sales, Ops, Product & Engineering, People), as well as with Country teams across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

Our ideal candidate will be a high-performing brand and communications generalist with excellent communications and copywriting skills, who enjoys working with global teams in a fast-paced environment. The candidate would ideally be looking to grow towards a more senior strategic role within 1-2 years.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a guardian of the brand, ensuring that all materials and collateral uphold and elevate Elephant’s brand across all owned channels (digital, video, press, social, sales enablement, events, employment branding) and co-marketing campaigns (digital, video, audio, OOH, in-clinic signage)
  • Report directly to Brand & Communications Manager, working closely to manage and execute on high-value content marketing, to support new & existing market expansion
  • Manage external designers, agency partners and production companies, from brief to delivery, to deliver best-in-class marketing materials
  • Drive day-to-day organisation of a fast-growing marketing department, ensuring that all assets and collateral are kept up to date, well documented and socialised across the business
  • Take ownership of Elephant’s website, keeping content up-to-date for product releases or partnership updates; using Content Management System to manage multi-language updates and working with Product Marketing and Design to communicate value proposition and push updates live
  • Work closely with our Sales & Expansion team to create appropriate materials for pitches and proposals
  • Play a key role in the creation of client-facing impact reports and case studies, using a metrics-driven approach to demonstrate Elephant’s impact both to existing and prospective partners
  • Work closely with in-country teams across Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan etc. to gain deep understanding of our markets and deliver best-in-class B2C and B2B marketing materials eg. B2C patient sensitisation campaigns and customer events
  • Lead end-to-end project management for marketing collateral; this includes strong organisational skills, with proven success making detailed plans, managing timing and contributing to budget tracking
  • Be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently

Required skills, experience and attributes:

Our ideal colleague will have the following skills, attributes and experience.

Essential:

  • 2+ years of experience working in Brand / Communications or Marketing teams at high-growth, fast-paced organisations, preferably B2B
  • Motivated self-starter with flair for articulating brand narratives, writing engaging copy and an eye for design; highly organised with an excellent attention to detail
  • Superb executor who can manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining grace under pressure; looking to learn and grow towards a more strategic, manager position
  • Experience creating brand and marketing collateral, ideally with both B2B and B2C campaign experience; contribute to reporting on hard & soft metrics to demonstrate success
  • Highly-collaborative team player who can work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing team environment
  • A desire to learn and improve methodologies and processes
  • Be kind, candid and good humoured with strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships inside and outside of the business; excellent communication skills to articulate strategy across departments and to Leadership teams
  • Both creative and analytical skills, being able to think outside the box and suggest solutions to complex problems in the healthcare ecosystem
  • Results-oriented and takes pride in doing great work

Desired:

  • B.A. in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • CMS publishing experience, or the desire to learn Wordpress and/or Webflow; familiarity with multi-language websites
  • Experience working within a startup or scaleup Marketing team
  • Experience working with dispersed, International workforce
  • Experience with data visualisation and impact reporting
  • Experience localising content for multiple languages
  • The ability to be agile and be able to ruthlessly prioritise competing initiatives
