As a QA Analyst at Bonterra, you will play a key part on the Payments Engineering team that designs, develops, integrates, and maintains functionality for payments solutions across Bonterra’s applications. You will work closely with engineers, QAs, and product managers to help build best-in-class solutions for payments onboarding and acceptance.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small team in the early stages of establishing critical payments infrastructure for use across the entire organization. This team combines enterprise-level impact and support with the benefits of working on a small fast-paced agile team.

This position is fully remote with in-person meetings as necessary.

Tools/Frameworks you’ll work with

  • Tools: GitHub, Jira, CircleCI, Postman, Heroku
  • Test Frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Chai
  • Frameworks/Languages: Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL (Postgres)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement improvements to our quality assurance processes that improve coverage, efficiency, and the reliability of code being deployed.
  • Write test plans and execute them for new features and applications.
  • Assist with debugging by outlining reproducible steps for bugs that are found in testing.
  • Proactively develop, adapt, and tune reusable test cases for multiple features in the payments platform.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure thorough project execution.

What we’re looking for

  • 1+ years of QA experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with UI and automated testing
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience with one or more of the following testing frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Chai, Capybara
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of payment gateway integrations, particularly with Stripe and PayPal, is a plus
