AnitaB.org is looking for a Front-End Developer (SEO) to join our marketing team. Sitting in the Content team in Marketing, this role is responsible for maintaining a smooth and accurate experience for website visitors and boosting discoverability via SEO.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Help design, build, maintain, and update the AnitaB.org website, ensuring a user-friendly and accessible experience including page load speed, mobile-friendliness, and navigational structure.
  • Collaborate with product, IT, other stakeholders, and executives to manage website content to include creating new pages, updating existing content, and ensuring overall website quality and performance.
  • Implement and manage on-page SEO strategies to enhance the website’s visibility and rankings in search engines.
  • Regularly perform SEO audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with the latest SEO guidelines and best practices.
  • Monitor key SEO metrics using tools like Google Search Console and conduct regular analysis to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Execute assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
  • Understand UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.
  • Collaborate with peers to design, write, and edit website content.
  • Guide, advise the team and execute on ensuring webpages and web content meet 508 accessibility standards.
  • Regularly assess website functionality, identify, and fix bugs, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Employ creative solutions to technical challenges to enhance user experience.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on web development best practices, processes, trends and prioritize areas of opportunity.
  • Utilize tools like Google Analytics to track and report on website performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in web development.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Here’s what we hope you’ll bring

  • Professionalism in team and external stakeholder interactions and communications, including honesty, integrity, respect, and commitment to advancing global, regional, and local DEI, in keeping with an organization with a mission to promote women and non-binary ersity, equity and inclusion in society and the workplace.
  • 3 years of experience in website development, with a focus on front-end technologies.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with WordPress or similar CMS.
  • Familiarity with web performance optimization best practices (e.g., PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse).
  • Proficiency in using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Moz, and SEMrush.
  • Basic understanding of technical SEO elements like sitemaps, robot.txt, schema markup, and canonical tags.
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms like WordPress and Contentful.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating end-to-end customer experience on the website and to interpret SEO data and make data-driven decisions for website optimizations.
  • Creative thinking and a proactive work attitude.
  • Ability to travel as position requires.

AnitaB.org is proud to offer a remote, distributed workplace. Please know we cannot accommodate remote work outside of the United States. The salary range for this position is $72,700 – $75,870, plus competitive benefits, including health insurance and a 403(b) discretionary match.
