Canopy is an exciting and dynamic remote-first Series A startup that has created keystone financial infrastructure technology to the BaaS stack. Canopy’s modern and configurable loan management platform and solutions enables fintechs, digital banks, BaaS players, and traditional financial institutions to build and launch new financial and lending products. Our mission is to help these companies deliver more personalized, transparent, and safer credit and loan products with world class technology in a secure and compliant way.

Canopy is looking to add a self-driven, highly motivated professional to help build and scale our core marketing functions. You will be critical in developing how we approach marketing across a number of highly visible categories including Demand Generation, Content, Partnerships, Employee Engagement, Events, and Branding.

The Marketing Lead will work closely with both the Head of Revenue and the Head of People to develop strategies and best practices to help us scale and deliver on key results. We will require you to proactively engage with the Executive team to build and execute on a Marketing Playbook and bring our Marketing vision to life. At Canopy, a successful Marketing Lead will work collaboratively across multiple business functions including Revenue, People, Design, and Product to help us build a world class company on a rocket ship trajectory!

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Generation - Help us attract and create more qualified inbound leads through various marketing channels including search, social media, thought leadership, content, and branding.
  • Employee Attraction, Engagement, and Retention - Work with our People team to engage our current and future employees to help us build an exciting and inclusive culture that they want to be a part of and are proud and excited about. Collaborate with Canopy teams to develop impactful presence on social media platforms. Support external Canopy platforms including Comparably, Glassdoor and LinkedIn.
  • Partner Marketing - Facilitate building and sharing of press releases, blog posts, podcasts, showcases, etc.
  • Events and Conferences - Drive planning, organizing, budgeting, and logistics for strategic events and conferences.
  • Customer Advocacy and Engagement - Build relationships with customers to understand all the great things we do to support them and solve their pain points, and create collateral, content, and testimonials to show off those bonds.
  • Branding - Help us build a best in class Brand so that Canopy is the first company the market thinks about when they think about loan management infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years B2B Marketing experience, preferably in fintech or financial services
  • Expertise in building strong relationships across different functional areas of an organization
  • Alignment and commitment to Canopy’s Core Values; found here

  • Highly data driven with a commitment to process development

Preferred Qualifications

  • B2B SaaS technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree
