We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Director of Product, Growth to lead and drive our product strategy to improve signup and onboarding and accelerate customer acquisition.

As the Director of Product, Growth you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our product portfolio by optimizing user onboarding and engagement. Your expertise in user experience, product management, and data-driven decision-making will be instrumental in shaping the company’s growth trajectory. You will lead, manage and mentor other product managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Growth Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, engineering, sales and customer success, to develop comprehensive product growth strategies. Identify opportunities to enhance user onboarding, retention, and engagement to drive product adoption and growth.
  • User Onboarding Optimization: Lead the design and implementation of user onboarding experiences that provide seamless and delightful user journeys. Analyze user behavior and feedback to continuously refine and improve onboarding processes.
  • Conversion Optimization: Analyze user behavior and engagement data to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates. Continuously optimize product features, user flows, and messaging to drive higher conversion, adoption and reduce churn.
  • User Experience Enhancement: Work closely with design, engineering and other product managers to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience. Advocate for user needs and leverage feedback to prioritize product enhancements and new features.
  • Data-Driven Insights and Actions: define, track and report weekly on input and output metrics to measure the success of product growth initiatives to deliver on expected business outcomes. Distill actionable insights, make decisions and quickly execute the required changes to improve those outcomes.
  • Self-serve Customer Engagement and Retention: Develop strategies to improve customer engagement and retention for our self-serve customer segment. Implement new offerings, customer feedback mechanisms, user surveys, and customer support improvements to foster customer loyalty.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing growth product team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team and across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a product manager and 3+ years of product growth leadership including managing and mentoring a team of product managers.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving growth for a cloud-based product or SaaS platform. Experience with developer products is strongly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and problem-solving skills – Timescale is moving fast, and so should you. Trying things, making mistakes, and quickly improving are in our DNA.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excited by ambiguous and vague problem definitions and the ability to refine them into an actionable plan.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
