Graphic Designer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Type: Contracted

Min. Experience: Mid Level

FocusKPI is looking for an experienced Graphics Designer to join our erse and vibrant team. As a designer on the Creative Team, accountability is just as meaningful as creativity.

You’ll be responsible for handling your own projects and working with cross-functional partners across the marketing, buyer experience, and product design organizations to dream up, design, and execute robust web experiences, print pieces, event collateral, integrated campaigns, and everything in between.

Work Location: Remote, anywhere in the U.S.A

Duration: 5 months contract part-time position (24 hours a week)

Pay range: $50/hour to $55/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communication problems
  • Develop overall layout and production design of publications or web interfaces as they relate to graphic design
  • Prepare sketches or layouts to present to a client. Create charts and graphs from the data given
  • You’ll work within the Design Guidelines to deliver impact and delight, but your role is also to push and challenge assumptions through productive debate, which ultimately leads to innovation and better outcomes
  • The Creative Team is the client’s dynamic internal creative agency embedded within the marketing organization. Collectively, the team defines, articulates, and scales how millions of users experience and connect with the brand from a multitude of dimensions
  • From concept through execution and everything in between, you’ll be among the designers, illustrators, writers, and animators who combine strategy with research, creativity, and craft to build and shape how its suite of products is viewed by the world

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field preferred, and Associate’s degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design required
  • You have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience and core design skills
  • Ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design
  • You are an expert in the Adobe suite of products, Figma, Keynote, and Microsoft Office
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving ability are required
  • Ability to utilize various forms of media, including print, electronic, and film
  • You have an exciting and erse portfolio of work that displays a deep understanding of interactive design and strong conceptual problem-solving
  • Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images
  • Experience with Adobe Publishing and graphics software is a plus
  • You possess a shared belief that collaboration enhances creativity
  • You are comfortable communicating with cross-functional partners in marketing, buyer experience, and product design organizations
  • You have a love of building brands and an understanding of the importance of their impact on an organization
  • You are confident in presenting and articulating work to peers and stakeholders
  • You have the ability to design for different audiences and needs
  • You are able to receive and solicit feedback like a pro
  • You are eager to grow and learn in an energizing and high-growth environment
