About the Role: We’re looking for a talented Senior UX/UI Designer to join our team at Sketchfolio. As a senior designer, you'll lead design projects, working closely with our creative director and internal team. You’ll also collaborate with clients to deliver digital experiences across marketing websites and web app projects, while guiding and mentoring junior designers.

This role requires a strong design sensibility, a deep understanding of front-end development, and a focus on design systems. If you’re excited to help shape and influence design ideas and execution, work on a variety of B2B and B2C projects for erse target audiences, and are a pleasant person to collaborate with, we want you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive design for web and app projects, ensuring high-quality execution from ideation to final delivery

  • Develop strategic design solutions: wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align user needs, business goals, and brand standards.

  • Lead design direction delivering impactful, high-quality, and user-centered outcomes.

  • Present design direction in client meetings – clearly and persuasively communicate design concepts, rationale, and strategic alignment to clients, ensuring that the direction is understood and aligned with project goals.

  • Contribute to design direction, working with creative directors and strategists to execute on client goals

  • Collaborate with clients to define user experiences, and present and justify design decisions

  • Help build and maintain design systems

  • Work independently on key design projects and with other designers

  • Delegate and provide constructive feedback to junior designers

  • Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and feedback

  • Challenge creative boundaries. Encourage fresh perspectives by respectfully and thoughtfully questioning standard solutions and processes, to elevate overall design quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years of deep experience using Figma for prototyping and high-fidelity design

  • Strong proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator

  • Must have a deep understanding of front-end development and design systems

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to think beyond the initial design request

  • Strong communication skills to explain design decisions clearly to clients and team members

  • Proven ability to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate in a small team environment

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively within budgets and timelines in a (sometimes) fast-paced environment with multiple projects at one time.

Bonus Points:

  • Print design experience

  • Adobe InDesign experience

  • Larger design team experience

  • Certifications or formal qualifications in UX/UI design or related fields

**Work Environment:**This is a hybrid role, primarily remote, with 2-3 office days per week initially (first 1-3 months) for team integration. Our team typically meets in person 2-3 times per month for longer meetings and team-building activities. We’re looking for someone local to the Boulder or Denver metro area in Colorado.
