About this Role

Sprig’s small (2 product designers) but mighty design team is growing! We’re looking to add an experienced, senior-level Brand / Web Designer to the mix. As the first brand designer, you’ll play a foundational role in shaping the brand identity of Sprig and executing on a erse range of projects (website, marketing assets). You will report to the Head of Design within the Sprig’s Design team, while collaborating closely with the Marketing team.

This role is based in either San Francisco or New York City with one to two days working in office.  

Your Impact

  • Be the main owner of the sprig.com marketing website, redesigning and stewarding it

  • Create materials for marketing campaigns and events

  • Be the thought leader of Sprig’s brand - stewarding and evolving a brand identity that enamors trust in Sprig as a leader in the research space

  • Participate in providing creative feedback to both marketing and product/design teams

  • Grow an illustration library for use in our product, website, emails, and other marketing materials

Your Strengths

  • 4+ years of professional design experience

  • Masterful visual communication - You effectively translate stories and messages into compelling design work, and consider how visuals and text content work together as a whole

  • Web design expertise - You’re particularly comfortable with the web as a medium, having worked on web design projects of significant scope

  • Creativity - While remaining aware of broader design trends, you work from first principles and create novel work with personality

  • Generalist skills - You’re comfortable working on a erse range of projects - and have past work experience across a range of different mediums, brands, and project requirements to show it

  • Autonomy - You take initiative to drive high quality work forward with limited directions - while being great at receiving, giving, and acting on feedback

  • Attention to detail - You have a natural inclination to making design work consistent and pixel-perfect

Bonus Competencies, Skills, Experiences

  • Experience working within a tech startup and/or small, early stage design team

  • Illustration skills

  • Motion/animation/videography skills

  • Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.)

  • Experience designing for erse audiences (international audiences, accessibility, etc.)

  • Experience working with or managing external contractors/agencies

The base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$145,000 + Equity + Benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all locations (San Francisco, CA; New York, NY). Within the range, inidual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
