We are seeking a highly-skilled senior graphic designer to join our team of dreamers and doers. As our lead graphic designer, you will play a key role in maintaining the consistency of the visual identity of our brands. You are as comfortable creating a brief with a ministry partner, or updating Asana as you are with designing in Illustrator.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the chief communications officer (CCO) and senior producer to develop creative concepts, and implement a cohesive visual style while executing design projects.

  • Oversee and ensure the quality of the design process from concept through completion, including project management, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing contractors.

  • Collaborate with ministries and departments internally to maximize effectiveness and impact through all digital, print, and web design projects.

  • Absorb knowledge, take direction, then build on it to bring ideas to life.

  • Design, collaborate, and support all media, web, and social media projects.

  • Create and oversee weekend message series branding in-room and online. Create weekly message slides to support teaching pastor.

  • Work closely with lead pastor to implement ideas and realize vision.

  • Provide some leadership and art direction to freelance designers.

Special Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience preferred.

  • 3 plus years as a full-time, professional designer, preferably on an in-house team.

  • Experience coordinating and guiding the work of designers or contractors.

  • Experience with a church or para-church organization preferred.

Special Knowledge/Skills Requirements

  • Desire and passion to serve Christ in the local church.

  • Deep and broad expertise in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience coordinating and guiding the work of designers or contractors.

  • A curiosity for the why and the how before the what.

  • High Emotional IQ with the ability to take and implement design feedback quickly

  • Ability to multitask and create high quality work in an extremely fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills

  • Spiritual discernment, emotional intelligence, and an ability to establish a rapport with artists, musicians, and teaching pastors.

  • Reflect Christ in your words and actions in your personal life and ministry. As an NCC leader, you will be looked up to as you model the Christian faith. The way you live your life, and the way you portray yourself online, should reflect the Gospel and honor God.

  • You must be in full agreement with the NCC Leadership Covenant, Social Media Policy, and Core Beliefs.
