What You’ll Accomplish:

  • Work closely with Product Designers and Product Managers to support team-level research objectives and testing needs.
  • Assist Senior User Researcher with higher-level strategic research projects.
  • Support feature teams with mixed method studies (prototype testing, interviews, surveys, etc.)
  • Build research toolkits to empower colleagues to learn and apply research skills, adopt user-centric mindsets, and synthesize previous research findings.
  • Use a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods (mixed methods) to uncover user pain points and opportunities (field studies, workshops, ethnography, user testing, etc.).
  • Develop relationships with customers and access in-person sessions with users to explore how they operate in their environment.
  • Receive direction, guidance, and feedback from our senior user researcher on a weekly basis to achieve research objectives.
  • Lead collaborative analysis and synthesis for research findings, communicate results to stakeholders and product team, and contribute to research repository.

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • Ideally you have at least 2-5 years of professional experience working on a research team at a technology company where you were not the only researcher.
  • User Research experience preferably with an eCommerce and/or SaaS, technology company.
  • You have experience with a variety of generative and evaluative research methods, including (but not limited to) in-depth interviews, ideation sessions, customer journey mapping, usability evaluation, surveys, benchmarking, and concept testing.
  • Preferably a degree in a related field (e.g. Behavioral science, social psychology, HCI, CS, UX) and 2-5 years of industry experience or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • You have clear and concise communication skills.
  • You’ve had success in setting and achieving priorities that find balance between business needs and research objectives while attending to stakeholder needs.
  • You have experience crafting compelling stories to explain your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders.
