Title: Senior UX Designer – Marketing

Location: US National

Overview

Bring your seasoned user experience (UX) knowledge to help create, inspire, and influence user-centered design at Esri and beyond. Working closely with design and strategy leads, you’ll play a central role in tackling our ambitious design plans. Sitting at the nexus of research, web analytics, information visualization, and user experience design, you’ll bring several years of hands-on collaborative experience to our cross-functioning teams.

Using actionable insights to solve complex problems, you’ll deliver scalable UX design system thinking. With our website being viewed by tens of millions of global users daily, you’ll witness the impact of your work in real time.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with your UX and UI design teammates as well as researchers, web strategy professionals, business stakeholders, project managers, content writers, and developers
  • From spreadsheets to data visualizations, find new ways to communicate complex information, analysis, and insights across horizontal teams
  • Deliver evidence-driven analysis to identify areas of improvement based on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) analytics dashboards
  • Combine the data with qualitative and mixed-method research to validate or explore new concepts, prototypes, and live sites
  • Distill complex problems into refined solutions through organizing content, structure, and information architecture into user flows, wireframes, and interaction design
  • Apply diagramming and mapping techniques to capture complex systems and user journeys
  • Expect your day-to-day work to be on high-impact programs such as navigation, personalization, and internationalization and pulling them all together for success at key moments of truth
  • Be our UX evangelist—have an opinion, use your voice, mentor others, and share the value of UX activities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest responsive design patterns and technologies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience specializing in user experience, research, and interaction design, preferably with a focus on business-to-business (B2B) technology company
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Clicktale, Crazy Egg, Optimizely)
  • In-depth knowledge of qualitative and mixed-method UX research methodologies
  • Experience with design software, such as Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex ideas understandable
  • A clear passion for experimentation and for crafting tactics needed to improve user experience and drive increased performance
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in human-computer interaction, user experience, interaction design, applied social science, or a related field such as digital marketing

Recommended Qualifications

  • AEM and Adobe Analytics experience
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards, including I10n, i18n, and translation
  • Knowledge of geographic information system (GIS) technology, mapping, and analysis applications is a really big plus

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $93,600.00 – $160,160.00.
