Visit www.cdcfoundation.org for more information.  The CDC Foundation seeks a full-time Evaluation Manager to evaluate the Hear Her maternal health communications campaign. Launched in 2020, Hear Her seeks to prevent pregnancy-related deaths by increasing awareness of urgent maternal warning signs amongst pregnant and postpartum people and by improving communication between patients and their healthcare providers.The Evaluation Manager will work closely with Hear Her colleagues and an external research firm to develop and implement evaluation activities to measure and understand the reach and impact of the campaign. Ideal candidates will have experience evaluating communication campaigns and be skilled with collecting, managing, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. This position will help the team investigate and answer questions such as:· Has the Hear Her campaign increased awareness of urgent maternal warning signs?· How much has the campaign increased the likelihood that pregnant and postpartum people seek care immediately if they experience an urgent maternal warning sign?· How well has the campaign reached populations experiencing disparities in pregnancy-related deaths?This is an outstanding opportunity to work with the nation’s lead agency charged with protecting the public's health. This field employee position will work closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Division of Reproductive Health (DRH) in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP).Atlanta-based candidates are preferred, but remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates. Relocation expenses are not provided. The starting salary range is $90,000-$95,000 and will be based on experience and qualifications. The CDC Foundation offers an attractive benefits package. This is a full-time grant funded position through December 31, 2024 with the possibility of extension to support Hear Her and/or other programs beyond 2024.Duties and Responsibilities* Leads design and implementation of evaluation for maternal health communication campaign with support from the Hear Her team and subcontracted evaluation research firm.* May directly perform and/or provide guidance to research firm on data collection, organization, and analysis of quantitative and/or qualitative data.* Serves as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of public health and health communications professionals, researchers, and evaluators.* Prepares narrative reports, presentations, briefing documents, and other relevant communications to key internal and external partners in collaboration with Hear Her colleagues.* Represents the CDC Foundation at technical and strategic planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders.* May travel domestically as needed to represent the designated programs and the CDC Foundation (up to 10% annually).* Participates in and/or leads special projects and other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Necessary Skills* Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a background in public health, health communications, or related field required.* Minimum of 6 years of health communication evaluation and related professional experience required, with direct experience evaluating health communication campaigns strongly preferred.* Expertise in research design and health communication evaluation methods, preferably including both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methodologies.* Background in behavioral science preferred.* Experienced developing, implementing and monitoring strategic evaluation plans.* Experienced in data analysis, preferably both quantitative and qualitative data.* Familiarity with internet panel surveys is a plus.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing, writing, and editing complex documents such as detailed reports to donors; briefing documents for external audiences, donors, and other stakeholders/partners; and peer-reviewed articles.* Ability to represent the CDC Foundation and its partners, leading discussions and negotiations concerning evaluation framework, activities, and outcomes.* Demonstrates the ability to work well independently and within teams.* Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; collegial, energetic, and able to develop productive relationships with colleagues, donors, stakeholders, and partners.* Sound judgment and maturity, exemplified by consistent professionalism in dealing with iniduals at all levels both internally and externally.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, mental or physical disabilities, veteran status, and all other characteristics protected by law.We comply with all applicable laws including E.O. 11246 and the Vietnam Era Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 governing employment practices and do not discriminate on the basis of any unlawful criteria in accordance with 41 C.F.R. §§ 60-300.5(a)(12) and 60-741.5(a)(7).
