The Senior Multi-Media Designer is an exciting and challenging role requiring the ability to build digital content that supports and drives measurable results related to the company editorial blog and corporate social media channels. This position will partner with the Digital Creative & Content team by building creative assets and visuals using multi-media skills and digital design best practices. The ideal candidate is an incredibly creative visual storyteller and collaborative in their approach. They have high-end content design skills and are experts with digital media design software, which include graphic design of digital content including illustrating, image-making, photo-editing, video production and editing. They are agile at brainstorming, and are able to determine and deliver optimal content based on brand needs and the target audience. They are also deadline driven, organized and detail obsessed.

This team creates graphic design content for digital media. They are looking for someone  who has a background in creating digital media such as blogs, social, web content.  They are looking someone who is strong with graphic design, illustration, and motion design content.  Must have all 3 pieces.  

Responsibilities:

  • Support design and production of various assets that are fresh, compelling, and inspires readers and social audiences to engage, learn, and take action. This may include (and is not limited to) editorial headers and in-blog content, templates, still graphics, videos, motion graphics, web content, etc.

  • A keen understanding/awareness of brand appropriate aesthetic, culture and audience when creating assets

  • Successful visual storytelling that has strong brand feel and realizes creative goals for the editorial blog that utilizes high end illustration and graphic design skills

  • Strong understanding of how to build content across all digital media

  • Create/Design top-notch multimedia content for a variety of social media channels, with excellent judgement, instincts, and a sharp feel for the social landscape

  • Partner closely with designers, copywriters, marketers, and producers to plan and execute projects from concept to final upload.

  • Pivot from simple, less-creative projects (requiring strict brand adherence) to out-of-box creative visual explorations.

  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously to meet close deadlines and realize the organization’s creative goals

  • Maintain awareness of the latest trends and changes within design, popular culture, and social media.

  • Deliver solid creative on tight schedules and work independently with little direction

  • Ability to evaluate, develop and contribute to the overall design strategy and execution of all creative

  • Collaboration with team in brainstorm sessions and help push creative concepts that resonate with client audience

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced schedule

  • Provide support for junior level design team members to choose the right style, graphics, images, and other visual elements according to the project

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience

  • BA in Graphic Design, Studio Arts, Illustration, Visual Communications or equivalent experience in related field

  • Must have a portfolio of past work to present

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro)

  • Multi-media skills (image, video, text, sound, motion)

  • Knowledge of social landscape (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Youtube)

  • Experience with Motion Design

  • 3D, Animation a plus

  • Possession of creative flair, conceptual/visual ability, and originality

  • Ability to perform well in a team environment and work independently when appropriate.

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
