Posting Description:

Leads the analytic and assessment efforts of an internet-based news publishing operation. Ensures consistency and best practices are applied to the analysis and evaluation of platform performance, effectiveness and strategy utilizing business intelligence tools. Develops and executes a marketing plan for content. Reviews reports and briefings summarizing project performance. Makes recommendations on improved methods of assessing performance and effectiveness. Implements evolving requirements in metrics collection and reporting system.

  • Develop marketing campaigns in Facebook and Google Ads
  • Query custom database of metrics
  • Develop reports according to customer requirements
  • Works within a team environment using Confluence, Jira, and Slack to manage, assign and collaborate on work tasks.

Skills

  • Requires familiarity and understanding of the social media environment and web metric analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with news publishing and news marketing
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience with Qlik, Tableau or similar tools
  • Experience with social media tools such as TweetDeck and HootSuite
  • Knowledge of SQL a plus
  • Knowledge of basic statistics

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • EXPERIENCE: 3 years of related experience.
  • CLEARANCE: Security clearance preferred; ability to obtain clearance required; un-cleared candidates will be submitted for clearance.

The likely salary range for this position is $72,000 – $108,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
