As part of this evolution, we seek to onboard two EP Senior Specialists assigned to a specific executive. This role will serve as a Lead Advance for complex travel, including domestic and international destinations, public speaking events, and all other ancillary events . You will create contingency plans, conduct travel risk assessments and liaise with key stakeholders at a variety of venues. You will form collaborative relationships with Coinbase personnel supporting your executive. • Serve as an Executive Protection Senior, fostering an environment that maximizes Principal privacy 
• Perform duties in a discreet operational manner with a focus on Principal privacy
• Travel domestically and internationally
• Serve as Lead Advance for complex travel and large scale events
• Make contingency and logistical plans for complex travel
• Work collaboratively with Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Chief of Staff, Estate Staff and Coinbase Protective Intelligence Manager

**What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• 5-7 years of experience, with 3-5 years extensive OCONUS operational experience
• Ability to manage complex logistics and ambiguous situations with little to no impact on Principals
• Understand and demonstrate experience in protection concepts to include: protective intelligence, contingency planning, and counter-surveillance
• Highly resourceful, ability to problem solve in the moment, and stay calm under pressure
• Medical training beyond First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain (Paramedic, TCAIR, etc.)

• Hands-on experience on using IaaS cloud solutions, specifically AWS - knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, Cloudfront, VPC, Security groups, and Cloudwatch) required
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automating them using tools like Jenkins / CircleCI
• Experience working with declarative Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform) and knowledge of configuration management frameworks (Ansible)
• Experience running docker workloads in production and at scale using Kubernetes
• Strong experience with databases such as MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis
• Experience with automation skills in bash scripting, Ruby on Rails, and / or other languages.
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals and protocols such as HTTP/S, DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, and reverse proxy
• Knowledge of security practices / related tools like firewalls and VPNs on cloud and servers
• Experience doing logs aggregation and analysis using tools like EFK
• Nice to have: Experience in managing / deploying Ruby on Rails applications on the cloud

Help Scout is looking for our first Senior Cloud Database Administrator to join our Foundations team. Your work on this team will power the critical data that our customers depend on every day. You will manage large, frequently changing data-sets with thousands of transactions per second!

Our ideal candidate takes pride in designing scalable database architectures and choosing the right technologies to meet customer needs. You excel at building scalable, reliable and easy to manage databases. Your work as an experienced DBA will empower over 12,000 businesses around the world to provide excellent customer service and will support the other senior engineers on your team. 

We leverage Aurora MySQL, PostgresSQL and MongoDB for several tools at Help Scout, knowledge or even expertise in these tools is a plus. Relevant experience in other DB technologies will be considered.

• You’ll be a part of the Foundation team managing our current databases and lead the design of our future data architecture which will enable autonomous teams to build solutions that delight our customers.
• You’ll be responsible to plan, design, implement and support our databases, manage their health, performance, availability and security.
• You’ll assist software engineers with database definition, query optimization, creating indexes and data structures related to application-specific design.
• You’ll work autonomously for the most part and we trust you to get work done when/where you can be productive.
