About the Role

Imperfect is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly motivated problem-solver and content creator who loves working with people and who is passionate about delivering exceptional social media experiences. If you’re the right fit for this role you are clever, on-trend, you think on your feet, and are known for your impeccable comedic timing. You always come up with the right thing to say.

Responsibilities

    • Engage with audiences on Imperfect’s social media channels to increase brand awareness, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter
    • Represent our company brand and voice proudly and professionally
    • Encourage and guide positive conversations on public platforms
    • Answer questions and concerns about our service and company
    • Educate our social media community on our mission and how we are fighting food waste
    • Combat misinformation and thoughtfully address sensitive topics
    • Devise creative solutions to problems that arise
    • Identify trends and opportunities within social media conversations and create strategic insights based off the information gathered
    • Pitch, develop, and edit well-structured drafts for TikTok videos and Reels
    • Watch for content ideas, user-generated content, trending opportunities, and other accounts for Imperfect to strategically engage with
    • Contribute social-specific design content and pioneer new types of content to engage our audience

Skills and Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in a customer service role1-3 years of internet marketing experience preferred
    • Community management experience preferred
    • Impeccable social media skills and knowledge
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to process a high volume of messages quickly and effectively
    • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
    • Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet
    • Ability to create engaging, on-brand content in a variety of formats, particularly video
    • Bachelors in marketing preferred

About You

    • You’re a social media guru and have a strong understanding of Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, and Twitter
    • You eat, sleep, and breathe social media you’re the first to know about a new TikTok sound or meme trend
    • You have the ability to quickly identify content that is (or is not) appropriate for various contexts
    • You’re passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience
    • You thrive in stressful situations and have a knack for diffusing escalating issues
    • You have a positive attitude and are invested in addressing needs and concerns with a solution-driven mindset
    • You’re comfortable creating a range of content, particularly short-form video
    • You’re passionate about our mission to eliminate food waste and create a better food system for all

Details of Position

    • Full-time, remote, exempt position reporting to the Social Media Manager
    • Open availability required
    • Travel required as needed
    • Rate of pay is $24/hour + a generous benefits package

Physical Requirements

    • Sedentary work; involves sitting most of the time
    • Occasional movement around the office may be necessary
    • Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouses, and screens
    • Regular use of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets
