With over 100 marketplaces, connecting over 20,000 businesses, and with buyers across 11 countries, Marketplacer is an established leader in building online marketplaces that continues to grow every year. We are currently looking for a ruby/rails developer to join our 60-member product team and help us connect the world through commerce.

As we are growing fast globally, we currently have a need for two more experienced Product Managers to join our team. Their purpose will be to develop a strategy for our Connectors (Adobe / Shopify) which maximises value for our customers, partners and Marketplacer. It is also about working with many others in the product team and across the business to foster a high performance culture in executing on the strategy

Requirements

What the candidate needs to bring to the role:

  • You have solid experience with Adobe (Magento) or Shopify Plus and are ready to create and execute on a strategy at a global level.
  • You work best with a team of engineers, researchers and designers to define problems and deliver exceptional outcomes
  • You can set a clear vision for your product, defining milestones and metrics that help achieve success.
  • Use of frameworks to help guide decision making on delivering the highest value items to customers
  • You are known as a strong communicator and have a way of making the complex simple so all are able to understand.
  • What really sets you apart is your strong analytical capability, it is the way you think, process and make decisions.
  • You are always thinking ahead and sharing new ideas of what else can be offered for our customers

Basic requirements of the role:

  • 5-10 years experience as a product manager for consumer web products or e-commerce applications (Adobe Commerce or Shopify plus)
  • The drive, determination and resilience to quickly work through ambiguity to an outcome
  • Ability to design and conduct experiments and customer research, and analyse the results for data-driven decisioning
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work as part of a global team
  • Experience with managing and working closely with system integration partners
  • Creating and executing a long-range product vision and roadmap
  • Building a data driven culture by utilising data to drive, refine and/or support consumer facing initiatives
  • Framing problems in the context of business drivers and deliver conclusions that are formed with corroborating data; communicating this to the business/key stakeholders in a manner they understand
  • Proactively proposing improvements, new concepts and process changes to optimise other areas of the product and business
