Gencove is a rapidly-growing startup developing a genome sequencing and analytics platform to enable the next generation of genomics applications in medicine and agriculture. We are revenue-generating with customers across the world, including leading genomics companies like BGI and universities like Stanford and the Weizmann Institute. We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Director to join us and drive commercial adoption.

Reporting directly to Gencove’s CEO, you will be responsible for positioning Gencove's current and future products; continuously evaluating our product marketing strategy in a rapidly-changing environment; and working with the executive team to identify new business opportunities for Gencove’s low-pass sequencing platform.

Requirements

About you:

  • Experience in B2B product marketing
  • Experience working as part of an early-stage startup: you’re ready to build sales collateral for different classes of customer, get creative in reaching target markets, and roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to make the organization successful.
  • Familiar with the key companies and technologies used in genomics.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Enthusiastic and passionate

Responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning and messaging informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding.
  • Write website copy and customer emails, create sales narratives and assets, and report on product feedback to inform product development
  • Create and execute launch plans including market segmentation, value proposition, and competitive analysis.
  • Participate in brainstorming, office activities, staff meetings and client meetings, researching and assisting with program development for existing clients and new prospects
  • Participate in analysis of market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy, and in the identification of opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation
