Amplify is seeking a project coordinator to provide support for the development of print and digital products in the K-5 Core Literacy programs. The project coordinator will assist in creating and monitoring schedules primarily in support of the content development, pre-production, and production phases. A successful project coordinator will provide tactical, detail-oriented support to the project management team and the internal cross-functional teams, in alignment with overarching project goals and constraints. This position will also be responsible for day-to-day correspondence with our vendor partners, ensuring all parties are on track to meet deadlines. This is a stepping stone role for someone who is interested in a career in project management.

*This is a contract position.

Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator (Contract):

  • Manage day-to-day tasks and deliverables for print and/or digital projects of various sizes
  • Understand workflows and dependencies of project components, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the cross-functional teams involved
  • Ensure that project schedules are kept up to date and track progress of deliverables against key milestones
  • Facilitate file handoffs to internal and external partners
  • Assist the project management team with documenting risks, issues, decisions and change management
  • Attend relevant status meetings, take notes and follow up on action items
  • Review vendor estimates and invoices against the work completed
  • Make recommendations for process improvements where appropriate

Basic Qualifications of the Project Coordinator (Contract):

  • 2+ years of experience in a project coordination or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple competing projects

Preferred Qualifications of the Project Coordinator (Contract):

  • Experience working on projects in the educational publishing industry
  • Ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders at varying levels of an organization
  • Keen interest in a career in project management
  • Spanish language fluency is a bonus but not required

Compensation:

The hourly rate range for this role is $35 – $40.
