Main Purpose of Job

IsoMetrix is looking for a driven and experienced inidual to make a major contribution in its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) market and product proposition.

Responsibilities include product definition, product content creation, market and competitive analysis, maintaining global ESG knowledge and making a significant contribution to determining the correct product-market fit that will ensure success. As Senior ESG Product Specialist, you will maintain an excellent understanding of the state-of-the-art in the ESG software market and leverage your market knowledge and experience to deliver a product vision and roadmap for the future of the data offering and achieve buy-in from all stakeholders. Across data offerings related to ESG you will stay ahead of industry trends and innovations that will significantly advance Isometrix's business with new markets and long-term growth opportunities.

You will partner with internal stakeholders, product, clients, and engineers to deliver data product offerings that drive transformational benefits for our clients.

Role responsibilities

  • A deep understanding of ESG generally and the effect that ESG-investment has on very-high, high and medium risk companies from both an operational and financial perspective. 
  • Understanding of the different personas and roles in companies that will direct or interact with ESG software. 
  • Good understanding of the various standards – GRI, SASB, TCFD etc. - both emerging and established, that are important in ESG. 
  • A deep understanding of carbon footprint reporting. 
  • Close collaboration with product management on designing, scoping and building product functionality and content as well as defining key business use cases. 
  • Where appropriate, to support sales and professional services engagements where ESG subject matter expertise is required. 
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure deliverables are well understood, and align with the overall business goals. 
  • Keep abreast of the competitive environment and client trends in the ESG space by working with industry analysts, partners, customers and internal stakeholders. 
  • Enable sales and other relevant stakeholders with necessary go-to-market capabilities and assets. 
  • Articulate strategic recommendations in a clear, compelling and concise fashion for a range of audiences. 
  • Able to represent IsoMetrix externally at conferences, with press and analysts.

Ideal experience and skills

  • 2+ years in product management and/or product strategy and/or product marketing role. 
  • 5+ years of experience working in the Software industry. 
  • Consulting experience with defining ESG strategies for corporate organisations. 
  • Practitioner experience with ESG and/or carbon footprint tools. 
  • Have worked previously for an ESG software vendor. 
  • Client experience either in consulting or sales role. 
  • Experience and knowledge of the ESG market in Europe and North America: market needs, competitive landscape, methodologies, regulatory landscape, data providers nd market trends. 
  • Tech savvy - understand latest technologies for desktop and feed product development. 
  • Command respect with both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Presentation skills (both in spoken and written formats), e.g. strategic plan development, strong PowerPoint skills, client interaction skills, training, business / financial analysis & reporting. 
  • Familiarity with agile development principles. 
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models.
